<KK> Howdy.  What's everybody been up to?
<the_Bee> Trying to sort out my vcr tapes.

<the_Bee> How have you been? KK  How  was the con and Shiral?
<jemler> situation normal, being abnormal
<KK> Well, I got back from SF late Wednesday night, having seen my niece safely married off to her love and having had a grreat visit with my mother.  The talk at Shiral's library was great, too.
<KK> It was a busy 6 days.
<the_Bee> I bet!
<KK> The bride was beautiful--all brides are, on that special day--and both of them alternated between giggles and tears of joy.
<KK> Their first dance at the reception was a choreographed old fashioned waltz to the waltz from "Edward Scissorhands." Beautiful.
<the_Bee> One of my nices danced with her father to "Daddy's Little Girl" at her wedding.
<KK> She danced with her dad, too, but most of the other music was more modern, and mostly unfamiliar to me.  Their waltz teacher and several other professional dancers were there, and danced their brains out, so it was really interesting to watch.
<KK> Good DJ.

<KK> I don't dance much either, but we've been threatening to take waltz lessons, and maybe tango lsesons.  They're offering some of the latter at the local county rec center, so we may give it a try.
<the_Bee> sounds like fun.
<KK> I also got 6-8 pp. well started on that pesky beginning of the new book, and am working up a full head of steam.  Should have serious progress to report next week.
<the_Bee> New? #3 in the childe Morgan trilogy?
<KK> Yep.
<the_Bee> any working title?
<KK> I knew it would move well, once I figured out where to start it.
<KK> Nope.
<KK> Childe III.
<KK> Something will suggest itself.  Might be Duke Alaric.
<Samuel> call it "Old Number 3"
<the_Bee> do you want to tell us where you started it, or is that a secret?
<KK> At the tournament celebrating Brion's knighting.
<the_Bee> So Brion would be 18 and Alaric...?
<KK> Seven and a bit, nearly eight.
<the_Bee> with a big case of hero worship?
<KK> When we first see him, he's more concerned about taking all ten rings in the junior ring tilting--and he does.
<KK> Yikes, timer just went off on the oven--supper's cooking.  Gotta go!
<the_Bee> and then someone hangs up the phone.
