Fortunately the only one I went to that had any rain was at a botanical garden that had a conservatory right next to the rose garden, and we had to shelter in there during a brief shower, but it didn't rain during the actual ceremony.

He tossed the dog stuffies and she tossed the cat stuffie and the "superstition" is that those who caught them will be the next to adopt a critter. They also got to keep the stuffie.
