Amazed to find this place. I has been a few decades since I read the Chronicles but picked interest again after looking for some good books to recommend for a friend's adolescent children. Good to meet everyone and looking forward to some conversations.

Welcome to the forum!  (I'm also in Florida, and we have at least one more Floridian around here.)
"If having a soul means being able to feel love, loyalty, and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans."

James Herriot (James Alfred "Alfie" Wight), when a human client asked him if animals have souls.  (I don't remember in which book the story originally appeared.)

I was born in the Land of Flowers, and my husband is a third-generation native Miamian, but I haven't lived in Florida since I was a toddler, and he moved away from Miami when he was in his late teens.

Hello AR, happy to have you here. Hope you can get involved in some of the conversations here and on Discord. :)

Welcome to the forum. It's a really lovely place to be.

My connection with Florida is that you continue to push that nice gulf stream over across the Atlantic which prevents the UK from being an ice box.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
