I just realized--- two or three years late! ---that I'd never formally introduced myself here. My apologies for that.

In terms of a biography, I'm New Orleans-born, and grew up in the Deepest South. I've lived in CT, NYC, Vienna, Izmir, and Alabama. I've taught History and done a few corporate things. These days I'm back on the Gulf Coast.

I've been reading the Deryni novels since I discovered in a bookshop in Penn Station one (very!) long ago winter when I was on my way to DC. I devoured the first three novels that weekend and I've enjoyed them ever since. I did place a couple of stories in the old Deryni Archives longer ago than I'd care to remember.

I took postgrad degrees in History, and one of the  things I love about the series is the world-building. I'm currently working on some AU stories here at the site, since there are characters I've been intrigued with all these years, and possibilities for different turns and developments in the Eleven Kingdoms.

Anyway-- I'm enjoying being here, enjoying reading others' stories, and very much enjoying meeting people on line.

Well @DoctorM have your belated welcome!

Which issues of the 'zine had your work in them? We hope to some day get all the back copies scanned and reissued via PDF

Have a belated welcome!  (You've been most welcome for a while, but since this is Introductions . . . ;) ).
"If having a soul means being able to feel love, loyalty, and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans."

James Herriot (James Alfred "Alfie" Wight), when a human client asked him if animals have souls.  (I don't remember in which book the story originally appeared.)

I believe the two stories were in Nr.3-4 and in Nr. 7-8.  I may still have paper copies of both.

I can't make it to the castle as much as I would like these days so I missed that you hadn't introduced yourself.

Welcome and I love your stories.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

A belated welcome Doc. M. I is fun to hear about, the other side of the story, one I would  otherwise not have considered. Please continue to write on.
May your horses have wings and fly!

Merci! And it's always good to hear from you. These days--- during the plague season ---it's good to have voices out over the aether.

I'm working on a couple of things. I hope to post at least something over the weekend.
