IKS only mentions that Alcye & Vera had different Deryni teachers. Who trained Vera? Especially since no one was supposed to know she was Deryni?

We can only guess since this has never been explored in print yet. But she could have been part of an underground Deryni network that did provide training to Deryni children in secret. Maybe Darrel knew her ...

I would have to read the books again, but wasn't there a mention that Keryell Cynfyn secretly saw to it that his daughter Vera was trained by the secrete Deryni, just as Alice had been. Because she was in a human family, and she was not watched closely by those who despised Deryni, than it was easier for her to get better training than what Alice was able to get.  Definitely have to reread Child Morgan Trilogy.

Part of Vera's training was with Fr. Pascal Diderot(sp).  Vera was brought to Cynfyn to serve her father's second wife, rosemerta.  If she was there from the time of the marriage she was living there for about 4 years.  I am a little hazy on the details.  will have to re-read.

Thank you for reminding me that Vera had been brought back into the Cynfyn house hold as a lady's maid for Keyrell's second wife. At this point Keyrell's other three children had been sent to the Hort of Orsal's household. This being their young teenage years, Vera would have known their father better than Alice did.
