Title: Memory Alpha
Post by: Imladris on August 17, 2020, 09:49:04 AM
In all the years I have been reading Katherine (since before Camber of Culdi).  I never knew she was in Star Trek the Motion Picture!! Happened to be looking up Katherine because was having difficulty with connecting here, and was surprised to find a citing of her in Memory Alpha - the Star Trek universe library/data base world.
I'm gonna have to watch ol' V'ger again....

She was an extra in the crew scene.

It's from the back. You don't see her face in the crowd I dont think anyway. Just look for the blond hair

Cool. Memory Alpha is a fandom site, it says
QuoteKatherine Irene Kurtz (born 18 October 1944; age 75) is a fantasy author who appeared as an Enterprise crewmember in the recreation deck scenes in Star Trek: The Motion Picture. [1]

Just might have to re-watch the movie.
Everyone should try to be an extra on a set at least once. I did it once. It was quite eye opening on how things are filmed.

COOL!

Have to admit, I was a Star Trek fan before I'd heard of the Deryni :-)
Little did I know there was some connection.....

There is more of a connection than just KK's appearance in Star Trek the Motion Picture. The idea for the Transfer Portals came from the Star Trek transporters as well.
