Through a cool mix of technology and research, Cappella Romana, a vocal group hailing from Portland, Oregon, has recently recorded an album of medieval Eastern Roman Empire sacred music that has been manipulated to sound like it would have sounded inside Hagia Sophia, pre-Ottoman conquest.
