Kirienne needs prayers, please.
« on: December 17, 2012, 10:43:33 PM »
Hi Everyone,  I'm asking for prayers and good thoughts, I was just diagnosed with Uterine Cancer today, and will be having a Hysterectomy on 1/9. Needless to say, I'm pretty scared.
Thanks so much

I'm so sorry to hear that.  I hope the hysterectomy gets rid of the cancer.

James Herriot (James Alfred "Alfie" Wight), when a human client asked him if animals have souls.  (I don't remember in which book the story originally appeared.)

Many hugs, best wishes and healing thoughts, Kirienne.   Apart from a good medical team, your best weapons in this battle are a positive attitude, and a bunch of supportive people around you.  So we'll be here for you.  And - don't forget to laugh at times!!  A sense of humour goes a long way to banishing demons and lifting spirits.

I'm really sorry to hear that, Kirienne. All possible good wishes and healing thoughts coming your way for a successful outcome! Have courage, and watch funny movies. Laughter may have limited power against cancer, but keeping up your spirits as much as you can is the best thing you can do for yourself.

Prayers and best wishes!  Are they using a Da Vinci Robot?  That really makes the surgery much safer.

A healing hug is sent over the web pages to your hands. As others have said positive thoughts are your best armor in times like this.  Search for happy sites like large lighted Christmas trees and singing voices. My best wishes are sent your way.

Kirienne, my thoughts and prayers are with you...and so are the Mini-Deryni's!

Praying for Kirienne by evian_delacourt, on Flickr

Don't say you weren't forewarned about this...I know the topic came up in chat a week or two ago!   :D  This photo is in a set created just for you, so for different views of the scene, just click on the photo above to get to my Flickr set, then continue to click on the Next button until you get to the end.  There are only about eight photos in the series; I took multiple shots from different angles to make sure I got at least one good one, and these ended up being the best in the batch, IMO.  And the very last one might have a special guest appearance in it....   ;)

This is, of course, nothing to be sneezed at, but it isn't the death sentence it was just a few years ago; for example, of my father's four sisters, all had it and three of them are still alive--and the one who has passed died of something else entirely.

Thanks so much!!!! Loved Duncan praying for me, I'm sure his prayers were heard.  :-)
I am confident in my surgeon, he'd make a great Deryni healer I'm sure, plus my sister  likes him as well and and my best friend felt  that confidence at first meeting him when he told them how surgery went, and the plan he has for my  further treatments .
I am feeling so very much better today, my sister came over and walked with me to the mail box because I wasn't sure I could get all the way there and back again, now that I know I can, it'll be a daily walk to improve my stregnth.
