My thanks to a fellow forum member who gently pointed out to me that a score of years is actually twenty years!  I have edited this part to correctly reflect that King Kelson is thirty-six years of age and not sixty-six!

Well.......being king can age a man.  I'm sure Kelson has had days of feeling he's 66! Such as having to banish his best friend from court for six months for having both deceived and defied him.

Poor Briony, being so anxious and not being able to be with her father!
