The interweaving of the timelines really works for me too, though it often doesn't.
Such a touching story beautifully told.

Jumping around in the timeline rarely even works for me as a writer, unless it's the occasional flashback scene in an otherwise fairly linear story, but for some reason this story demanded to be told that way from the very outset, so I just went with whichever voice was speaking to me at the moment.
