On this day in 1349 King Edward III created the Order of the Garter. The Facebook post linked below discusses the incident, and individuals involved.

Thursday night BBCA reran William And Catherine's wedding. William wore his Garter sash and Star. While they were standing on the balcony at Buck House two flights flew over. The first was a Lancaster flanked by a Hurricane and a Spitfire And is called the "Battle of Britain Flight". The similarities did not go unnoticed, a Garter Knight by the name of William watching BoB planes flying over Buckingham Palace!

Well noticed. But we can't spare this one - we need him as King in a decade or two.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

I agree completely! A cousin might work in a pinch.
