1/4 cup melted butter
3 packages Philadelphia Cream Cheese
3/4 cup sugar
3 eggs
Oreo baking crumbs
6 squares Bakers semi-sweet chocolate, melted and cooled
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup amaretto

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Mix 1 1/4 cups Oreo crumbs and butter.  Press firmly onto bottom of 9 inch springform pan
Beat softened cream chees and sugar with electric mixer until blended.  Add eggs, one at a time, beating just until blended.  Stir in melted chocolate, vanilla and amaretto. Pour over crust.
Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until centre is almost set.  Loosen cake from rim of pan and let cool completely.  Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.

Melt 2 squares Bakers special dark chocolate squares with 1 tablespoon shortening.  Drizzle over cooled cheesecake and chill before serving.

This is a rich cake so cut into small serving slices.  Or NOT!
From ghoulies and ghosties and long-leggity beasties and things that go bump in the night...good Lord deliver us!

Yum!  Thanks for sharing!

This might have to be my birthday dessert this year!  :D
"If having a soul means being able to feel love, loyalty, and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans."

James Herriot (James Alfred "Alfie" Wight), when a human client asked him if animals have souls.  (I don't remember in which book the story originally appeared.)

Sounds gorgeous.  My next baking project, I think.
