Thhank you all. Just read an artcle on medieval color theory to make sure I get my FS guy's color scheme thematically appropriate.

Apr 10 19:05:14 <KK>   Week was ok.  I rescued a couple of dogs, and yesterday was our anniversary, so we spent the day together, antiquing and then having pad thai noodles for supper.

Apr 10 19:05:40 <Laurna>   Happy Anniversary

Apr 10 19:06:50 <alaric1>   How do you post
Apr 10 19:07:03 <Evie>   DH and I went to the annual Lebanese food festival that just happened to fall on this weekend, and then to a costuming guild meeting afterwards.  It was a show and tell night for projects, so he introduced me as the project he's been working on for 28 years.  :-D
Apr 10 19:07:06 <DesertRose>   If you mean here in chat, alaric1, you just figured it out.  :)
Apr 10 19:07:29 <Jemler>   Evie, did you see the post about ye olde book on fb?
Apr 10 19:07:29 <alaric1>   Finally
Apr 10 19:07:37 <The_Bee>   type and hit Enter
Apr 10 19:07:38 <DesertRose>   Evie, your DH is a smart aleck.

Apr 10 19:08:09 <Evie>   For others who are new here, if you are trying to figure out how to chat using Mibbit, the text line is that one below the chat window where our dialogue appears

Apr 10 19:08:39 <Evie>   Yes, DR, DH is definitely a smart aleck. It runs in this family
Apr 10 19:08:42 <Evie>   Hi Jerusha!
Apr 10 19:09:00 <Jerusha>   DH is a smart aleck?
Apr 10 19:09:25 <Evie>   Yes, one has to be in order to live with me.  ;-)
Apr 10 19:09:27 <alaric1>   Hi everyone. Here in Virginia we just went back to winter

Apr 10 19:09:47 <DesertRose>   Yeah, the groundhog lied to a lot of people it seems.
Apr 10 19:09:52 *   Shiral appears in the chat room with the pop of a champagne cork
Apr 10 19:09:54 <Jerusha>   Hi Shiral
Apr 10 19:09:58 <Shiral>   Hello all
Apr 10 19:10:06 <Evie>   Hi Shiral
Apr 10 19:10:08 <Laurna>   Need some hot tea  please
Apr 10 19:10:17 <The_Bee>   Celebrating something, Shiral?
Apr 10 19:10:31 <DesertRose>   I'm in Florida, where winter just means "too cold for the beach."
Apr 10 19:10:35 <Shiral>   Well....only in North America is rodent weather forecasting a thing
Apr 10 19:10:41 <Evie>   We've had cold nights again in Alabama, but definitely an improvement over a return to winter
Apr 10 19:10:43 <KK>   Yeah, it's been winter here all week.  Where in Virginia are you, Alaric1?
Apr 10 19:10:46 <alaric1>   Can't blame him. How would we like being hailed out of our warm beds to look for our shadow
Apr 10 19:11:11 <Jerusha>   I'd rather look for the champagne cork
Apr 10 19:11:15 <Shiral>   Not really Bee. Just like that example
Apr 10 19:11:18 <alaric1>   Norfolk. Close to the ba
Apr 10 19:11:45 <DesertRose>   Heck with the champagne cork.  I'm looking for glasses to serve the champagne.  The cat can have the cork as a toy for all I care.
Apr 10 19:12:00 <Jerusha>   I'm with you on that, DR
Apr 10 19:12:01 <DesertRose>   Oh, cool, alaric1.  I've got a good bit of family in the Norfolk area.
Apr 10 19:12:03 <alaric1>   I like the champagne cork idea
Apr 10 19:12:12 *   Shiral snaps fingers and rows of delicate crystal champagne glasses appear on the table
Apr 10 19:12:15 *   alaric1 has quit (Quit: http://www.mibbit.com ajax IRC Client)
Apr 10 19:12:19 <Shiral>    There you go
Apr 10 19:12:23 <Evie>   If I were the groundhog, I'd predict 52 weeks of winter just for being dragged out of bed too early
Apr 10 19:12:26 <KK>   Ah.  I'm in the Shenandoah Valley, in Staunton.
Apr 10 19:12:37 *   Shiral adds strawberries and cake to the table to go with the champagne
Apr 10 19:12:46 <DesertRose>   I think Alaric1 accidentally closed the tab or something.
Apr 10 19:12:50 <DesertRose>   Yum, Shiral!
Apr 10 19:13:06 <Jerusha>   Jerusha adds a selection of fine desert cheeses

Apr 10 19:13:23 <Shiral>   My cats LOVE champagne corks. they  have a neat, wobbly roll
Apr 10 19:13:31 <Shiral>   Wb, Alaric1
Apr 10 19:13:36 *   The_Bee adds chocolate syrup for dipping the strawberries.
Apr 10 19:13:42 <Jerusha>   rehi Alaric1

Apr 10 19:14:05 <Jerusha>   Hi revanne
Apr 10 19:14:21 <Alaric1>   Hi Revanne
Apr 10 19:14:29 <Evie>   Alaric, if the main link to chat is causing a problem, you might try the alternate chat link on the forum. I don't know if it would be more stable or not, but it's worth a shot.  Or you can download an IRC client and get to Otherworlders that way
Apr 10 19:14:32 <Evie>   hi revanne
Apr 10 19:15:07 <revanne>   woke uo and thought grrrr! Then thought I can visit chat :-)
Apr 10 19:15:22 <Evie>   That's the upside to insomnia.  ;-)
Apr 10 19:15:26 <Alaric1>   Thanks but I think it's mostly operator error
Apr 10 19:16:02 <Jerusha>   Welcome anyway, revanne
Apr 10 19:16:11 <Jemler>   Hi revanne
Apr 10 19:16:15 <Evie>   Mibbit has its good days and its temperamental days, and unfortunately there's no way to predict how it will behave during a given chat day
Apr 10 19:16:15 <Laurna>   Hello Revanne
Apr 10 19:16:41 <revanne>   hi
Apr 10 19:16:47 <Alaric1>   Any new fanfic in the works?
Apr 10 19:17:17 <Evie>   I have a few in various stages of completion
Apr 10 19:17:31 <Evie>   nothing that will be ready anytime soon
Apr 10 19:17:42 <Jemler>   Brb
Apr 10 19:18:07 <Jerusha>   My writing time has been overrun with work responsibilities.  :(
Apr 10 19:18:48 <DesertRose>   Sorry for the insomnimonster visit, revanne, but glad to have you here.  :)
Apr 10 19:18:49 <Evie>   Mine is limited because I'm getting ready for my parents to visit next month, although I am managing to squeeze in some small Mini-Deryni projects in when I get a few minutes free
Apr 10 19:19:18 <revanne>   Am about 1/4 of the way through writing one but it's ending up a lot more involved than the simple story I envisaged
Apr 10 19:19:29 <Evie>   They do that
Apr 10 19:19:33 <Jerusha>   Isn't that the way it always goes?
Apr 10 19:19:38 <Evie>   Any progress on the Killingford story, KK?
Apr 10 19:19:46 <Laurna>   I am sitting here watching the water run off my roof in sheets.  i am amazed
Apr 10 19:20:07 <Evie>   I am too, Laurna. Why do you have sheets on the roof?  ;-)
Apr 10 19:20:16 <Jerusha>   Jessa is watching from a suitably dry bed?
Apr 10 19:20:21 <Alaric1>   Any chance of more about Keldon and his reign KK?
Apr 10 19:20:22 <The_Bee>   Have you seen any animals lining up in pairs, Laurna?
Apr 10 19:20:33 <revanne>   you've had a visit from British weather Laurna?
Apr 10 19:20:41 <Shiral>   How do raindrops WEAR sheets? Wouldn't hey have to be....really tiny sheets? =o)
Apr 10 19:21:08 <DesertRose>   Now I'm picturing raindrop ghosts, a la Casper.
Apr 10 19:21:16 <Shiral>   Or a raindrop toga party
Apr 10 19:21:19 <The_Bee>   or really big raindrops
Apr 10 19:21:19 <DesertRose>   LOL
Apr 10 19:21:22 <revanne>   LOL
Apr 10 19:21:22 <Alaric1>   It's cold here but at least no precip
Apr 10 19:21:23 <Evie>   I have managed to get a bead quite thoroughly stuck on my beading needle.  Le sigh.
Apr 10 19:21:57 <Shiral>   Here in California it's been a gloriously WET weekend
Apr 10 19:22:10 <Jerusha>   It's not the Venerable Bead?
Apr 10 19:22:17 <KK>   Going back before Kelson next, Alaric1.
Apr 10 19:22:21 <Evie>   Yes, we need more stories about Kelson's reign, because Kelson stories mean Duncan stories.  ;-)
Apr 10 19:22:46 <Jerusha>   We at least need to meet Kelson's heirs
Apr 10 19:23:00 <Evie>   It's about to be Violently Obliterated with a Hammer Bead if it does. not. get. unstuck. from. this. needle!
Apr 10 19:23:01 <Alaric1>   Would love one about Pax Kelsonus
Apr 10 19:23:09 <Shiral>   Well....if you wrote them about Duncan's early life, they might be pre-Kelson stories
Apr 10 19:23:22 <KK>   Sometimes obliteration is the only answer, Evie.
Apr 10 19:23:24 <revanne>   Not necessarily Evie,Duncan could have met a sad end
Apr 10 19:23:34 <Jerusha>   NO
Apr 10 19:23:47 <Alaric1>   NO
Apr 10 19:23:56 <Shiral>   Oh, thank goodness, you mean the bead, NOT Kelson's family line in terms of obliteration
Apr 10 19:23:59 <Evie>   Give yourself twenty lashes with a wet noodle, woman!
Apr 10 19:24:05 *   Alaric1 has quit (Quit: http://www.mibbit.com ajax IRC Client)
Apr 10 19:24:08 *   Jemler has quit (Quit: http://www.mibbit.com ajax IRC Client)
Apr 10 19:24:10 <DesertRose>   Only twenty lashes.
Apr 10 19:24:12 <DesertRose>   ?
Apr 10 19:24:19 <revanne>   :D
Apr 10 19:24:46 <Jerusha>   Is mibbit on a rampage?
Apr 10 19:24:48 <Evie>   I can't be too hard on revanne, DR.  I mean, I'm the one who has managed to lose Duncan's head twice, after all!
Apr 10 19:24:54 <KK>   Yes, obliteration could be taken in several ways. :P
Apr 10 19:24:58 <DesertRose>   Fair enough.  :)
Apr 10 19:25:09 <Jerusha>   But you got it back
Apr 10 19:25:16 <Shiral>   Obliteration was the name of the game for a lot of family lines at Killingford
Apr 10 19:25:24 *   alaric1 (Mibbit@OWIRCN-61abc9d2.hr.cox.net) has joined
Apr 10 19:25:25 <DesertRose>   The second time, yes.  The first time Duncan's head got lost it was lost for good.
Apr 10 19:25:29 <Jerusha>   Most of the nobility
Apr 10 19:25:30 <DesertRose>   Rehi alaric1
Apr 10 19:25:35 *   Evie notices the lack of scissors at her fingertips and goes to remedy that lack
Apr 10 19:26:24 *   mib_dpzcoq (Mibbit@OWIRCN-e1451415.hfc.comcastbusiness.net) has joined
Apr 10 19:26:34 <Evie>   Fortunately that was not my only beading needle
Apr 10 19:26:36 <alaric1>   Having trouble. Keep getting disconnected. Not sure why
Apr 10 19:26:39 <KK>   Yeah, it's going to be very satisfying obliterating some of them.
Apr 10 19:26:40 *   mib_dpzcoq is now known as jemler
Apr 10 19:26:49 <The_Bee>   rehi jemler
Apr 10 19:26:58 <NavaWazr>   I'll have three cases of Kleenex next to me when I read Killingford
Apr 10 19:27:01 <Jerusha>   wb Jemler
Apr 10 19:27:09 <jemler>   Evie, follow this link: https://www.etsy.com/listing/226660896/writing-journal-set-with-leather-book?ref=featured_listings_row
Apr 10 19:27:19 <revanne>   only three?
Apr 10 19:27:24 <alaric1>   You'll need them
Apr 10 19:27:36 <Jerusha>   It will be a good story, though
Apr 10 19:27:46 <DesertRose>   rehi jemler
Apr 10 19:27:49 <NavaWazr>   three for the first read, remember these are Costco cases... 24 boxes in a case
Apr 10 19:27:54 <Evie>   I'd hate being a character in the Eleven Kingdoms.  It's worse than being a character in a Bujold book, because not only does the worst possible thing tend to happen to you, you're even more like to die while it happens!  :-D
Apr 10 19:28:23 <Jerusha>   Was there such a thing as red armor?
Apr 10 19:28:54 <Evie>   Nice, jemler
Apr 10 19:28:57 <Shiral>   The mortality rate in Gwynedd can be scary. =o)
Apr 10 19:28:58 <The_Bee>   only if it rusts
Apr 10 19:28:59 <DesertRose>   I'm sure some of it was painted.
Apr 10 19:29:02 <Shiral>   Hello, Jemler\
Apr 10 19:29:08 <Evie>   red armor would be possible if it's dyed leather.
Apr 10 19:29:14 <jemler>   Hi shiral
Apr 10 19:29:26 <Evie>   or painted, as DR says
Apr 10 19:29:41 <KK>   Could've been--though it would be hell on the poor squires, forever touching up scratches and dings.
Apr 10 19:29:43 *   Shiral tosses a fistful of goldfish crackers at Jemler just to make him feel at home.
Apr 10 19:29:52 <Evie>   though not sure if the paints of the day would adhere to metal that well, and it would seem to me to make upkeep more difficult
Apr 10 19:30:13 <Evie>   my resident armor expert isn't here to ask
Apr 10 19:30:14 <Shiral>   The life of a page/squire sound pretty rough, as it is
Apr 10 19:30:30 <KK>   They painted shields, didn't they?  Must've had paint that would adhere to metal.
Apr 10 19:30:36 <The_Bee>   lacquer?
Apr 10 19:31:04 <The_Bee>   or enamel
Apr 10 19:31:12 <Evie>   True, though depending on the period. lots of shields were wood with metal just at the boss and rim
Apr 10 19:31:43 <DesertRose>   You wouldn't use the same kind of paint you'd use on an illuminated manuscript for painting armor, of course, but there might have been some sort of paint that would stick to metal, particularly later in period.
Apr 10 19:31:46 <revanne>   And shields are a relatively small area
Apr 10 19:32:21 <DesertRose>   I really don't know for sure.  I know very little about period armor, to be honest.
Apr 10 19:32:31 <Evie>   An egg based paint could adhere to pretty much anything, I'd think
Apr 10 19:32:43 <KK>   Yeah, they were often covered with leather--and that could certainly be painted or dyed.
Apr 10 19:32:44 <The_Bee>   Don't they need to be big enough to block a sword-stroke?
Apr 10 19:33:24 <DesertRose>   Yes, but a shield also needs to be small enough to be maneuverable.
Apr 10 19:33:35 <Evie>   Yes, though shields can range in size from small targes or bucklers to large kite shields
Apr 10 19:33:37 <DesertRose>   If it's so big you can't move it, it's kind of useless.
Apr 10 19:33:40 <revanne>   Yes. I was just thinking compared to a suit of armour.
Apr 10 19:33:50 <KK>   There were little-bitty hand shields, about the size of a frizbee, but most were larger, to protect larger body parts.
Apr 10 19:33:54 <Shiral>   And big enough to protect the vital organs.
Apr 10 19:34:19 <Jerusha>   Elongated, if I remember correctly
Apr 10 19:34:24 <Shiral>   The non-sequiturs around here can be funny
Apr 10 19:34:46 <Jerusha>   :D
Apr 10 19:34:57 <DesertRose>   Shiral, I can't remember if you were here last week, but we devolved into Wars of the Roses/Tudor era court gossip.
Apr 10 19:35:19 *   Evie loads the mackerel launcher in case Jemler makes some sort of off-color joke about elongated vital organs
Apr 10 19:35:33 <DesertRose>   LOL, Evie.  :)
Apr 10 19:35:41 <Jerusha>   Oh dear!
Apr 10 19:35:44 <revanne>   Talking of medieval battles this year is the 950 anniversary of the Battle of Hastings. Am hoping to be able to visit the battlefield.
Apr 10 19:35:47 <The_Bee>   I once read that english foot soldiers had shields that blocked  the enemy right in front of them, but they could strike at the foe on either side.  That's why pawns in chess capture slantwise.
Apr 10 19:35:51 <Shiral>   Never made it last week. Birthday party for my brother and nephew. We often celebrate Easter and "The boys'" birthdays, because they usually all fall within the same period
Apr 10 19:36:07 <Shiral>   Nobody could do it on Easter this year, so we celebrated this week
Apr 10 19:36:20 <Shiral>   Er, last week
Apr 10 19:36:39 <Jerusha>   950th anniversary is a long time
Apr 10 19:36:41 <jemler>   No jokes evie.
Apr 10 19:36:42 <revanne>   Sounds good Shiral
Apr 10 19:36:49 <DesertRose>   I know how that goes, Shiral.  My birthday tends to get celebrated in the family with my uncle's (which is five days before mine although twenty-two years earlier) and my cousin's (which is two days before mine but thirteen years later).
Apr 10 19:37:16 <DesertRose>   But since there are three of us with birthdays in a five-day span, it's just easier to have one party for all three of us.
Apr 10 19:37:33 <Shiral>   I must have my history mixed up. I remember the year 1066 being the Year of the Norman Conquest, but I thought the battle was fought in October, for some reason.
Apr 10 19:37:46 <Laurna>   I love my sister but if I am not at her house during chat she calls me at this time of day.  Sheeesh
Apr 10 19:38:02 <Evie>   I was planning on visiting Hastings with a friend, but due to a miscommunication I ended up missing the train, and never got around to rescheduling the trip.  :-(
Apr 10 19:38:03 <Laurna>   Sorry  I was away
Apr 10 19:38:06 <revanne>   It was
Apr 10 19:38:11 <DesertRose>   No worries, Laurna
Apr 10 19:38:27 <NavaWazr>   I loved the Bayeux tapestry
Apr 10 19:38:39 <NavaWazr>   great way to keep the story alive
Apr 10 19:38:46 <Shiral>   Oh wait, you said "this year" somehow I read that as
Apr 10 19:38:51 <Shiral>   "this month"
Apr 10 19:39:03 <Shiral>   I have rented eyes, today it seems
Apr 10 19:39:06 <DesertRose>   LOL
Apr 10 19:39:24 <The_Bee>   I've heard of the Bayeux Tapestry, but just what does it depict?
Apr 10 19:39:32 <Shiral>   Laurna, you'll need to tell your doggies to get the phone if it rings during chat
Apr 10 19:39:47 <DesertRose>   Basically, William the Conqueror's conquest, Bee.
Apr 10 19:40:02 <Laurna>   LOL  they are not smart enough to learn that.  they just sit at my feet
Apr 10 19:40:08 <revanne>   If I remember rightly it was almost too late in the year for a fleet of boats to cross the channel but the wind suddenly veered the right way for William
Apr 10 19:40:15 <The_Bee>   from the Normans' POV, I assume.
Apr 10 19:40:24 <Shiral>   "Stop weaving! we have to get to England before fighting season is over!"
Apr 10 19:40:26 <DesertRose>   It's also not actually a tapestry, because a tapestry is woven; the Bayeux Tapestry is actually an embroidered wall hanging, but tapestry is quicker.
Apr 10 19:40:27 <Jerusha>   I bought the needlepoint versions of the Bayeux tapestry.  My next project
Apr 10 19:40:37 <revanne>   LOL
Apr 10 19:40:39 <Evie>   Oh where is my green bead? Oh where is my green bead?  Oh where oh where oh where oh where oh wheeeerrreeee is my green bead?  (To the Veggie Tales tune, "Oh where is my hairbrush.")
Apr 10 19:40:44 <DesertRose>   Well, yes, history is almost always written from the perspective of the victors.
Apr 10 19:40:58 <NavaWazr>   it's just an incredible work of threads
Apr 10 19:41:01 <Shiral>   Why do vegetables need a hairbrush?
Apr 10 19:41:04 <NavaWazr>   it goes on forever
Apr 10 19:41:17 <Evie>   Mini-Alaric says he needs a miniature needlepoint Bayeux Tapestry, Jerusha. ;-)
Apr 10 19:41:34 <Evie>   Good question, Shiral.  :-D
Apr 10 19:41:40 <Jerusha>   That would be petit-point. :)
Apr 10 19:41:43 <revanne>   its really impressive
Apr 10 19:41:57 <Shiral>   Itty-bitty petit point,yes
Apr 10 19:42:07 <KK>   Scott and I saw it, on one of our lecture cruises, years ago.  It's an incredible loooooooong piece of work.
Apr 10 19:42:10 <Jerusha>   Jerusha pictures William the Conqueror looking for the green bead
Apr 10 19:42:33 <Shiral>   The Conquest wasn't just slapped together in a day
Apr 10 19:42:42 <Evie>   There's someone in the UK who did a reproduction of the Bayeux Tapestry in half scale just for personal enjoyment
Apr 10 19:42:53 <Jerusha>   Wow
Apr 10 19:42:56 <revanne>   So he can obliterate it:)
Apr 10 19:43:16 <jemler>   Rats! The power on my ipad is low. I'll have to go. If kk shows, would you tell her insaid hello?
Apr 10 19:43:20 <Evie>   and also I saw an article about a Star Wars fan who did a Star Wars version in a Bayeux Tapestry embroidery style
Apr 10 19:43:28 <NavaWazr>   it reminds me of how difficult communications were, how difficult it was to spread the word of what was going on
Apr 10 19:43:28 <DesertRose>   jemler?  KK is here.
Apr 10 19:43:31 <revanne>   Even half scale is huge
Apr 10 19:43:33 <Shiral>   She's right here, Jemler
Apr 10 19:43:40 <The_Bee>   Bye Jemler.  Glad you could come
Apr 10 19:43:41 <Evie>   KK has been here the whole time, jemler
Apr 10 19:44:06 <revanne>   Bye Jemler
Apr 10 19:44:10 <DesertRose>   Night, jemler
Apr 10 19:44:27 <jemler>   With this little scren,ni didn't notice.
Apr 10 19:44:38 *   jemler has quit (Quit: http://www.mibbit.com ajax IRC Client)
Apr 10 19:44:40 <Laurna>   Need to get you a lap top
Apr 10 19:44:44 <Jerusha>   Night Jemler
Apr 10 19:44:49 <Laurna>   Night Jemler
Apr 10 19:44:50 <alaric1>   Anyone checking out the 600th anniversary of the battle of ahi court?
Apr 10 19:45:03 <Jerusha>   Ahi court?
Apr 10 19:45:10 <Shiral>   Agincourt?
Apr 10 19:45:10 <KK>   One of my fans did a section of needlework for me as a section of a Bayeux-like tapestry telling of part of the story of St. Camber.  I think it's reproduced as a line drawing in the first Deryni anthology.  She's (the needle-worker) is an archaeologist, and wrote it up as if it was a historic piece being conserved.  Very clever.
Apr 10 19:45:12 <The_Bee>   agincourt?
Apr 10 19:45:13 <alaric1>   Agincourt
Apr 10 19:45:14 <Evie>   Agincourt?
Apr 10 19:45:30 <Shiral>   It is, at least the notation for it is in the Tales
Apr 10 19:45:32 *   alaric1 has quit (Quit: http://www.mibbit.com ajax IRC Client)
Apr 10 19:45:32 <Laurna>   Oh that is cool KK
Apr 10 19:45:33 <DesertRose>   Oh, that's awesome, KK!
Apr 10 19:45:35 <Evie>   I didn't realize it was an anniversary year, but my DH might be interested, since that's his SCA time period
Apr 10 19:45:46 <The_Bee>   Henry V and his happy few
Apr 10 19:45:56 <revanne>   I remember that KK very clever
Apr 10 19:45:57 <DesertRose>   And the epic speech Shakespeare wrote about it.
Apr 10 19:45:57 <Evie>   Oh, wow!
Apr 10 19:46:15 <Evie>   The wow was for the St Camber tapestry
Apr 10 19:46:19 <Jerusha>   I remember that story
Apr 10 19:46:39 *   Alaric2 (Mibbit@OWIRCN-61abc9d2.hr.cox.net) has joined
Apr 10 19:46:42 <KK>   Someone in the SCA has also done a piece in the style of the Bayeux tapestry, telling the history of--I think it's the West Kingdom, but it could be a different one.
Apr 10 19:46:43 <Shiral>   You have to wonder if Henry V himself was saying "we happy few"  or thinking "Oh ****!"
Apr 10 19:46:52 <DesertRose>   LOL, Shiral
Apr 10 19:46:56 <Evie>   OK, that's what I need, a St Camber Tapestry for the Mini-Deryni
Apr 10 19:46:59 <The_Bee>   Shakespear's story or KK's, Jerusha?
Apr 10 19:47:08 <Jerusha>   KK's
Apr 10 19:47:23 <Shiral>   But I could see Alaric teasing Kelson with "No lie I like a King."
Apr 10 19:47:36 <Shiral>   Now lie I like a King," rather
Apr 10 19:47:44 <Alaric2>   Me too
Apr 10 19:48:06 <Evie>   As opposed to Araxie:  "No lie, I like a King!"  ;-)
Apr 10 19:48:14 <DesertRose>   LOL
Apr 10 19:48:16 <revanne>   I think Agincourt could be a bit politically sensitive with the E U exit referendum coming up.
Apr 10 19:48:24 <Laurna>   KK someone on the forum asked for a short story in Camber's POV about the afterlife and how he chooses to show himself in the real world.  something along that line would be great fun to read.
Apr 10 19:48:24 <Shiral>   LOL, BAD Evie!
Apr 10 19:48:45 <Jerusha>   shocked!
Apr 10 19:48:47 <Shiral>   But they do seem to get right down to business on their dynastic duties
Apr 10 19:49:04 <Jerusha>   One must do what one must do....
Apr 10 19:49:10 <revanne>   The power of a comma.
Apr 10 19:49:12 <KK>   BRB
Apr 10 19:49:38 <Shiral>   "Good grief, I have to go....Somebody's evoking me in the other dimension. We'll resume this game when I get back, King Cinhil."
Apr 10 19:49:45 <DesertRose>   Okay, maybe I've seen too many Disney movies, but the "get down to business" phrase makes my brain go to "I'll Make a Man Out of You" from "Mulan."
Apr 10 19:49:49 <Jerusha>   If I let loose all of my extra commas, they would take over the world
Apr 10 19:49:56 <Shiral>   INvoking, rather.

Apr 10 19:50:26 <revanne>   Hi
Apr 10 19:50:27 <Shiral>   I wonder if Camber ever amuses himself by refusing to show himself to members of the current Camberian Council
Apr 10 19:50:28 <Laurna>   LO Shiral
Apr 10 19:50:30 <Eyikl>   HI everyone

Apr 10 19:50:54 <revanne>   Like Denis for example
Apr 10 19:50:57 <Jerusha>   I don't think they could cope
Apr 10 19:51:06 <Evie>   One miniature St Camber's Chaplet completed
Apr 10 19:51:09 <DesertRose>   Camber would be that contrary.
Apr 10 19:51:18 <The_Bee>   I think some of them would be  more shaken up if Camber DID show up.
Apr 10 19:51:27 <Jerusha>   In little beads, Evie?
Apr 10 19:51:45 <Laurna>   "wait Corum your here than who was that?"
Apr 10 19:51:51 <revanne>   Especially if he told them what he thought
Apr 10 19:51:52 <Shiral>   "Vivienne, would you PLEASE stop being so uptight about the purity of Deryni blood?"
Apr 10 19:52:25 <Jerusha>   That's not going to happen :)
Apr 10 19:52:31 <Evie>   In itty bitty beads, yes
Apr 10 19:52:34 <Shiral>   Aparently not
Apr 10 19:52:47 <Jerusha>   You will post a picture, Evie?
Apr 10 19:52:52 <Shiral>   He'd tell them in itty bitty beads?
Apr 10 19:52:54 <KK>   Some things must remain a mystery.
Apr 10 19:53:16 <Laurna>   Some things yessss butttt   KK please
Apr 10 19:53:50 <Evie>   Once I get one uploaded
Apr 10 19:53:57 <DesertRose>   KK might prefer to let one of the fans go wild with the notion of what Camber thinks from the afterlife.  :D
Apr 10 19:54:03 <Laurna>   Oh I love a mystery tooo
Apr 10 19:54:13 <Jerusha>   I would like to do a larger scale one, so many thanks

Apr 10 19:55:32 <KK>   I'm out of here as well.  It's just about time for Madame Secretary.  I find it nearly as addictive as The West Wing was.  I would like to think that our politicians are nobler than they are.
Apr 10 19:55:32 <DesertRose>   LOL, Jerusha.  My mom said something like that.  "How did I ever have time to work?"

"If having a soul means being able to feel love, loyalty, and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans."

James Herriot (James Alfred "Alfie" Wight), when a human client asked him if animals have souls.  (I don't remember in which book the story originally appeared.)
