Mar 20 19:09:31 *   KK has joined
Mar 20 19:09:34 <DesertRose>   A lot of food service employers won't let employees get away with hair colors like that.
Mar 20 19:09:36 <The_Bee>   Hi KK
Mar 20 19:09:37 <DesertRose>   Hi KK!
Mar 20 19:09:45 <Jerusha>   Hi KK
Mar 20 19:09:50 <Evie>   Probably not so much the pizza parlor as the clientele.  It's in the Beverly Hills equivalent part of town
Mar 20 19:10:00 <Evie>   Hi KK
Mar 20 19:10:05 <DesertRose>   You can color your hair but not to colors that don't naturally occur in hair.
Mar 20 19:10:12 <KK>   Woo-hoo!  Mibbit worked this time, albeit with a new icon in my favorites pile.
Mar 20 19:10:17 <DesertRose>   YAY!
Mar 20 19:10:37 <Jerusha>   Beverly Hills should tip well, though
Mar 20 19:10:46 <DesertRose>   Not always, Jerusha.
Mar 20 19:10:49 <Evie>   Yes, she could have had a job several months ago at Ruby Tuesday.  She charmed a manager so much, he was willing to hire her on the spot if she'd dye her hair to a natural hair color, but at the time she wasn't ready to do so
Mar 20 19:11:16 <Evie>   Glad you made it, KK!  Did you get the computer issues sorted out?  (I assume....)
Mar 20 19:11:23 <KK>   Who's working in Beverly Hills?
Mar 20 19:11:50 <Evie>   LOL!  My daughter just got a job a few minutes ago at a pizza parlor in Mountain Brook, which is like the Alabama equivalent to Beverly Hills
Mar 20 19:12:05 <Evie>   It's the part of town where the millionaire set lives
Mar 20 19:12:33 <KK>   But only hair-colors that occur in nature, I gather.
Mar 20 19:12:41 <Evie>   So yes, as Jerusha says, hopefully that will translate to decent tips.
Mar 20 19:13:24 <DesertRose>   It sounds counterintuitive, but back when I was a pizza delivery driver, the wealthiest neighborhoods were not the best tippers.  They would stiff you in a minute; it was the working-class neighborhoods who'd tip at least decently, I guess because they knew what it's like to be on a tight budget.
Mar 20 19:14:02 <Evie>   Yes.  She's resisted dyeing her hair back to a natural color, because as she puts it, she's just a teenager once and knows she might not be able to express herself that way when she "enters the real world," but she's also about to graduate in a couple of months, and she really needs the money, so she figures it's time.
Mar 20 19:15:03 *   revanne (Mibbit@842092.C19ECF.EE0C8E.59AF68) has joined
Mar 20 19:15:04 <Evie>   I can see the logic in that.  Let's hope Mountain Brook has a lot of pizza patrons who worked their way up the ladder and still remember what it's like to live on pocket change
Mar 20 19:15:08 <DesertRose>   Hi revanne
Mar 20 19:15:10 <The_Bee>   Hi Revanne
Mar 20 19:15:13 <Jerusha>   Is she still thinking about pursuing the baking/chef career idea?
Mar 20 19:15:25 <Jerusha>   Hi revanne!
Mar 20 19:15:31 <revanne>   hi everyone
Mar 20 19:15:52 <DesertRose>   I hope so, for DD's sake.  I don't mean to be a black raincloud on DD's good news.  :)
Mar 20 19:15:56 <Evie>   Hi revanne
Mar 20 19:16:09 <Evie>   Yes, she wants to be a pastry chef
Mar 20 19:16:37 <Evie>   Naw, it's good, DR.  Low tips are better than no tips/pay at all, which is what she makes now.  :-D
Mar 20 19:16:39 <revanne>   Has DD got a job Evie?
Mar 20 19:16:49 <Evie>   She does as of a few minutes ago
Mar 20 19:16:58 <DesertRose>   :)
Mar 20 19:17:02 <revanne>   Good for her
Mar 20 19:17:21 <Evie>   I swear, all it takes is for my KK Chat alarm to go off, and I start getting phone calls and texts on an otherwise quiet day.  :-D
Mar 20 19:17:24 <The_Bee>   Maybe one day she'll be interviewed on CBS Morning Saturday's The Dish segment.
Mar 20 19:17:50 <revanne>   LOL Evie
Mar 20 19:18:12 <KK>   Ya never know.
Mar 20 19:18:27 <revanne>   Are your internet woes sorted out, KK?
Mar 20 19:18:30 <Evie>   I mean, DH quite LITERALLY rang me up while the alarm chime was still playing!
Mar 20 19:19:36 <KK>   No problem tonight.  It may be that Mibbit was in the middle of an update last week, and I got caught in the transition.  Everything else is and was working fine.
Mar 20 19:19:48 <DesertRose>   BRB, tea
Mar 20 19:19:53 <revanne>   Good
Mar 20 19:20:08 <Jerusha>   Mibbit should not be allowed to upgrade during chat time
Mar 20 19:20:13 <Evie>   No virus or Trojan horse?  Good!
Mar 20 19:20:21 <The_Bee>   Evie's DH ought to know better by now.
Mar 20 19:20:38 <Evie>   He's probably forgotten it's chat day/time again
Mar 20 19:20:53 <Evie>   Once I've been doing this for fifteen years, he'll finally clue in
Mar 20 19:20:55 <Jerusha>   He's not at home?
Mar 20 19:21:06 <Evie>   No, he's just returning from Gulf Wars
Mar 20 19:21:06 *   DF64 (Mibbit@OWIRCN-7dbbc01a.res.bhn.net) has joined
Mar 20 19:21:12 <revanne>   is knowing better something DH's do?
Mar 20 19:21:13 <Evie>   the SCA event, that is
Mar 20 19:21:17 <Jerusha>   Hi DF64
Mar 20 19:21:21 <Evie>   never, revanne. :-D
Mar 20 19:21:21 <DF64>   hi all
Mar 20 19:21:25 <The_Bee>   Hi DF64
Mar 20 19:21:25 <Evie>   hi DF!
Mar 20 19:21:26 <revanne>   Hi
Mar 20 19:21:50 <Jerusha>   Nope, revanne - not a chance
Mar 20 19:22:11 <Jerusha>   Not even after 37 years
Mar 20 19:22:36 <revanne>   Or in my case 34
Mar 20 19:22:53 <Jerusha>   He still has to ask me when my birthday is
Mar 20 19:22:55 <DesertRose>   Hi DF64
Mar 20 19:23:09 <revanne>   LOL
Mar 20 19:23:10 <DesertRose>   Wow, Jerusha.
Mar 20 19:23:25 <Jerusha>   He finally wrote it down.  :)
Mar 20 19:23:38 <The_Bee>   Now THAT's what I call forgetful, Jerusha.
Mar 20 19:23:54 <revanne>   but can he remember where he wrote it?
Mar 20 19:23:56 <DesertRose>   My stepdad tends to forget his and Mom's wedding anniversary, but she forgets it too.  They both tend to have the "Oh yeah, that IS today!" reaction when I say "Happy anniversary!" to them.
Mar 20 19:24:12 <DF64>   :D
Mar 20 19:24:18 <Jerusha>   That question remains to be answered, revanne
Mar 20 19:24:44 <Jerusha>   I'll have to wait until next year's birthday to find out.  :)
Mar 20 19:24:47 <The_Bee>   Speaking of birthdays, mine's tomorrow.
Mar 20 19:24:56 <DesertRose>   Oh, happy birthday, Bee!
Mar 20 19:25:01 <Jerusha>   Happy birthday in advance, Bee!
Mar 20 19:25:09 *   DesertRose breaks out magic chat birthday cake that is whatever dessert you want it to be.
Mar 20 19:25:19 <revanne>   happy birthday for tomorrow.
Mar 20 19:25:26 <DF64>   Happy birthday!!
Mar 20 19:25:33 <Jerusha>   I will defer to what Bee wants
Mar 20 19:25:40 <Evie>   Happy Bee-day!
Mar 20 19:25:43 *   DesertRose also magics into existence an ice cream bar with all manner of flavors.
Mar 20 19:25:46 <KK>   Have a good one, Bee.
Mar 20 19:25:53 *   DesertRose cornobbles Evie.
Mar 20 19:26:17 <revanne>   I'll lend you some UK time so you can start celebrating in 35 minutes
Mar 20 19:26:23 <The_Bee>   chocolate with peppermint filling and frosting
Mar 20 19:26:48 <The_Bee>   I'm taking myself out to dinner.
Mar 20 19:26:56 <DesertRose>   That sounds like a plan.
Mar 20 19:27:02 <Jerusha>   Nice, Bee
Mar 20 19:27:07 <KK>   Yum!  Where are you taking yourself?
Mar 20 19:27:09 <revanne>   Lovely
Mar 20 19:27:09 <Evie>   I guess this means DH's project this week will be fixing DD's car so she won't have to use mine
Mar 20 19:27:28 <DF64>   speaking of th UK--saw "London Has Fallen" today
Mar 20 19:27:29 <DesertRose>   No rest for the weary (in Evie's DH's case).
Mar 20 19:27:31 <Evie>   That sounds yummy, Bee
Mar 20 19:27:36 <The_Bee>   A  French/Cambodian place.
Mar 20 19:27:52 <Evie>   Ooh, interesting
Mar 20 19:27:53 <Jerusha>   That's an interesting combination
Mar 20 19:28:05 <Evie>   I don't think I've ever tried Cambodian food
Mar 20 19:28:15 <DesertRose>   France had control of that whole part of the world for a while, so it's not totally a weird idea.
Mar 20 19:28:18 <The_Bee>   I hoped some friends could join me, but they're out of town at a friend's wedding.
Mar 20 19:28:31 <KK>   Tell us about it, Bee.  I don
Mar 20 19:28:58 <KK>   't think I"ve ever heard of it either.
Mar 20 19:29:02 <revanne>   My DH and DD2 saw that. They were highly amused that it was ok for London to be in ruins as long as Mr President was ok
Mar 20 19:29:27 <The_Bee>   Ive been there once before. I liked it.  And I have a voucher.
Mar 20 19:29:29 <Jerusha>   I haven't seen good reviews of it
Mar 20 19:29:39 <Jerusha>   the movie, that is
Mar 20 19:29:52 <DesertRose>   Hey, vouchers are great!  A break on the price is always a nice thing.
Mar 20 19:29:53 <DF64>   and as my dad and I were leaving--my sister and her husband just arrived to see "Gods of Egypt"
Mar 20 19:30:23 <revanne>   Enjoy Bee
Mar 20 19:30:36 <The_Bee>   When you said Mr. President, I thought you meant the pair of bald eagles nesting near Wachington, DC.
Mar 20 19:30:55 <DesertRose>   If I weren't going to be out of town next weekend, I'd go to the blood drive at the movie theatre and get myself a movie ticket voucher for donating blood, but I can't clone myself and be both on I-95 and at the blood drive at the same time, sadly.
Mar 20 19:31:01 <revanne>   No -not heard of them
Mar 20 19:31:36 <DF64>   the 2nd eagle egg just hatched
Mar 20 19:31:47 <The_Bee>   They've been named "Mr. President" and "First Lady"
Mar 20 19:31:51 <DesertRose>   :)
Mar 20 19:31:51 <revanne>   That sounds a good arrangement DR
Mar 20 19:32:12 <revanne>   LOL
Mar 20 19:32:18 <DesertRose>   Our local blood bank does that a lot, arranges to have rewards for blood donors.
Mar 20 19:32:57 <revanne>   No-one wants my blood because of the meds I'm on.
Mar 20 19:32:59 <The_Bee>   Has the sibling rivalry started yet?
Mar 20 19:33:04 <DesertRose>   I'd donate blood anyway, even without the movie ticket or whatever, but if I can have a movie ticket or whatever for something I'd do anyway, why not?
Mar 20 19:33:08 <KK>   I can't give blood anymore, because I lived in Europe, and they worry that I might have latent mad-cow disease from eating British hamburgers.  Not that I ever eat hamburgers, really....
Mar 20 19:33:34 <revanne>   No hope for me then
Mar 20 19:33:40 <The_Bee>   I feel guilty about not giving more often.
Mar 20 19:33:48 <DesertRose>   Yeah, Evie's caught in that problem, too, KK, I think.
Mar 20 19:33:58 <Evie>   Yeah, I'm in the same boat, KK.  Only what's maddening is that if I'd left just one week sooner, I would still be allowed to donate blood
Mar 20 19:34:19 <Evie>   Apparently the Red Cross thinks 3 months is the Magic Number.
Mar 20 19:34:32 <revanne>   Because the mad cows work to a strict timetable
Mar 20 19:34:47 <DesertRose>   You'd think that there'd be some "after x number of years, it's not an issue anymore" clause to the mad cow disease worry.
Mar 20 19:34:49 <Evie>   As if one can't be exposed to the Barmy Bovine Bug at 2 months and 3 weeks.
Mar 20 19:34:49 <The_Bee>   overseas 3 months or back here 3 months?
Mar 20 19:34:50 <KK>   Of course they do.
Mar 20 19:34:51 <Jerusha>   Only mad cows would
Mar 20 19:35:07 <Evie>   Living over there 3 months or longer makes one ineligible
Mar 20 19:35:31 <Evie>   and I was there just barely over 3 months, I think
Mar 20 19:35:40 <DesertRose>   Correct me if I'm wrong, Evie, but you haven't been in the UK in a long time, right?
Mar 20 19:35:48 <Evie>   Not since 1984
Mar 20 19:36:01 <Evie>   Sept to Dec
Mar 20 19:36:02 <Jerusha>   Wow
Mar 20 19:36:14 <DesertRose>   That was what I thought.  One would think that if you'd caught mad cow disease, it would have posed a problem by now.
Mar 20 19:36:18 <DF64>   only Canada for me
Mar 20 19:36:28 <revanne>   Of course it might be transportable virtually in which case you're all in trouble
Mar 20 19:36:35 <Evie>   Well, I'm a bit batty, but I don't think I'm ill.
Mar 20 19:36:39 <DesertRose>   LOL
Mar 20 19:36:47 <Jerusha>   :)
Mar 20 19:36:53 <DesertRose>   We're all a little guano here.  :-D
Mar 20 19:36:58 <The_Bee>   What were the cows mad at?
Mar 20 19:37:19 <KK>   The problem is that they just don't know that much about the mechanism of how it works.
Mar 20 19:37:25 <Evie>   Life, apparently, Bee.
Mar 20 19:37:31 *   Eyikl (Mibbit@8027A0.AD6C34.D381B8.7BAAEB) has joined
Mar 20 19:37:33 <DesertRose>   Ah, okay.  Then, that makes a little more sense.
Mar 20 19:37:34 <DesertRose>   Hi Eyikl
Mar 20 19:37:42 <The_Bee>   Hi Eyiki
Mar 20 19:37:43 <KK>   And if you get it, there's absolutely no cure.  Your brain just turns to mush.
Mar 20 19:37:43 <Eyikl>   HI everyone
Mar 20 19:37:44 <Jerusha>   Hi Eyiki
Mar 20 19:37:49 <Evie>   That and, IIRC, it can take a decade or more between exposure and the appearance of symptoms
Mar 20 19:38:03 <DesertRose>   Yeah, but 1984?  That's been over three decades.
Mar 20 19:38:14 <revanne>   Hi Eyiki
Mar 20 19:38:16 <Evie>   Shhhhh, DR, I'm young.  YOUNG.  :-D
Mar 20 19:38:28 <DesertRose>   Young at heart for certain.  :-D
Mar 20 19:38:30 <Jerusha>   Of course you are
Mar 20 19:38:48 <revanne>   No that's just the mad cows talking, Evie
Mar 20 19:38:52 <DesertRose>   LOL
Mar 20 19:38:52 <Evie>   Oh, wait, three decades of a rosary.  A very brief time.  Yeah, it's just been three decades since I was there.  ;-)
Mar 20 19:38:53 <Jerusha>   Like me.  :)
Mar 20 19:39:17 <Evie>   LOL, Jerusha
Mar 20 19:39:36 <Jerusha>   Bishop Duncan, it's been three decades since my last trip...
Mar 20 19:39:41 <DesertRose>   LOL
Mar 20 19:39:54 <revanne>   I've been sorting through old photos tonight and that's made me feel very old.
Mar 20 19:39:59 <The_Bee>   Anyone heard from Jemler?  Bad news on his facebook page.
Mar 20 19:40:04 <DesertRose>   Yes, actually
Mar 20 19:40:08 <Jerusha>   Bad news???
Mar 20 19:40:12 <Eyikl>   :( ?
Mar 20 19:40:30 <DesertRose>   He popped in a few hours ago to say that he is to be sprung from the hospital on Tuesday to go to a nursing home, hopefully only for a week or two and then on to home.
Mar 20 19:40:35 <The_Bee>   The infection in his bones is still there. No transplant :(
Mar 20 19:40:43 <Jerusha>   Drat
Mar 20 19:40:54 <DesertRose>   Unfortunately, this means he will have to spend his birthday in the nursing home, but his sister is going to deliver his traditional birthday doughnuts to the dialysis center.
Mar 20 19:40:55 <KK>   Bummer!
Mar 20 19:41:03 <DesertRose>   He said to tell everyone Hi!
Mar 20 19:41:12 <KK>   When is his birthday?
Mar 20 19:41:38 <DesertRose>   March 25
Mar 20 19:42:05 <DesertRose>   I had to go look on Facebook right quick because he actually doesn't have it on his profile on rhemuthcastle.
Mar 20 19:42:10 <revanne>   Good Friday and Lady Day
Mar 20 19:42:17 <DesertRose>   Which he is under no obligation to do, I hasten to add.
Mar 20 19:42:25 <KK>   Can one of you clever souls maybe do up a page on the website, where we can all post our birthday best wishes?
Mar 20 19:42:45 <Jerusha>   And a cake in the shape of a fish
Mar 20 19:42:48 <DesertRose>   He doesn't really check the forum that much, but we can, certainly.
Mar 20 19:43:10 <DesertRose>   We can generate a thread on the forum and I can nudge him on Facebook to go look.
Mar 20 19:43:14 <Evie>   I would think one in the shape of a trebuchet, Jerusha
Mar 20 19:43:19 <Evie>   to launch the fish
Mar 20 19:43:26 <Jerusha>   That works too
Mar 20 19:43:43 <KK>   Definitely a fish-shaped cake!
Mar 20 19:43:50 <revanne>   That would be good, DR
Mar 20 19:44:02 <Jerusha>   Though I imagine the nursing staff will be right surprised when it lands on Jemler's lap
Mar 20 19:44:08 <DesertRose>   LOL
Mar 20 19:44:12 <Eyikl>   lol
Mar 20 19:44:14 <DF64>   :D
Mar 20 19:44:33 <revanne>   LOL
Mar 20 19:44:53 <DesertRose>   Although I expect she's very busy with family, it's a shame Aerlys isn't in on this discussion because she has a great talent for finding pictures of super cool cakes.
Mar 20 19:45:43 <Evie>   For some reason I couldn't find a fish launcher cake on Google, buuuuutttttt.....  http://www.freakingnews.com/pictures/500/Fish-Launcher--700.jpg
Mar 20 19:46:03 <DesertRose>   O.o  Where is the brain-bleach?!
Mar 20 19:46:05 <revanne>   strange that...
Mar 20 19:46:49 <The_Bee>   Evie:  Pray continue...
Mar 20 19:46:58 <Jerusha>   I like it~!
Mar 20 19:47:20 <The_Bee>   oh, Yes!
Mar 20 19:47:28 <Eyikl>   :) https://daydreamsofcake.files.wordpress.com/2011/05/dsc02701.jpg
Mar 20 19:47:48 <revanne>   Good grief. That 'll  either give him a relapse or terrify the infection right out of his system.
Mar 20 19:47:52 <DesertRose>   I like that fish cake much better!
Mar 20 19:47:53 <Evie>   The link, Bee.  :-D
Mar 20 19:48:12 <The_Bee>   I got it. thnks, Evie

Mar 20 19:48:56 <DesertRose>   Now, that's cute!
Mar 20 19:49:22 <KK>   Wherever did you find that, Evie?
Mar 20 19:49:24 <Eyikl>   It's a koi
Mar 20 19:49:33 <DesertRose>   BRB
Mar 20 19:49:43 <Evie>   http://www.mammajammacakes.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/169.jpg
Mar 20 19:49:52 <DF64>   great picture!!
Mar 20 19:50:00 <Jerusha>   It's definitely oh-koi (hangs head in shame)
Mar 20 19:50:03 <Evie>   Did a Google search for "fish cake" and ignored all the photos of...um...fishcakes
Mar 20 19:50:10 <Evie>   LOL, Jerusha!
Mar 20 19:50:29 <Eyikl>   Try a search for fish shaped cakes
Mar 20 19:50:35 <Evie>   that would work better, yes
Mar 20 19:51:05 <Evie>   I wasn't thinking when I typed in Fish Cakes, but I like the koi shaped ones
Mar 20 19:51:19 <The_Bee>   I like the yellow and orange one best. more cheeerful
Mar 20 19:51:31 <Jerusha>   Cheerful is good
Mar 20 19:51:47 <Eyikl>   though the second picture does look more like an actual koi
Mar 20 19:52:09 <Evie>   This one is a bit premature, but better early than never? :-D  http://www.alittlecake.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/sculpted-Fish-Cake-e1430142849653.jpg
Mar 20 19:52:30 <KK>   It does look like a very fine koi.  But I don't think it's allowed to eat koi.
Mar 20 19:53:09 <revanne>   it doesn't look very hsppy
Mar 20 19:53:28 <Eyikl>   Is that the singing trout?
Mar 20 19:53:33 <Evie>   I wonder if jemler reads chat transcripts?  We may want to stop posting in here so he can be surprised later
Mar 20 19:54:06 <DesertRose>   I'm not sure if he does or not.
Mar 20 19:54:10 <The_Bee>   too late now. ;)
Mar 20 19:54:11 <KK>   Evie, we'll leave you in charge!
Mar 20 19:54:20 <revanne>   Sorry eyes are losing focus so will say goodnight.
Mar 20 19:54:22 <DesertRose>   Yeah, I guess that ship has sailed.
Mar 20 19:54:25 <DesertRose>   G'night, revanne

Mar 20 19:54:45 <DF64>   nite
Mar 20 19:54:51 <Eyikl>   goodnight revanne
Mar 20 19:55:15 *   revanne has quit (Quit: http://www.mibbit.com ajax IRC Client)
Mar 20 19:56:28 <Evie>   Just judging by the sign, I wonder if this is meant to be a groom's cake or engagement cake for a fisherman?  http://list25.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Fish-cake.jpg
Mar 20 19:56:29 <Jerusha>   Jerusha drops a pin
Mar 20 19:56:53 <KK>   Which one?
Mar 20 19:57:04 <Eyikl>   which pin?
Mar 20 19:57:14 <Evie>   In the link I just posted
Mar 20 19:57:15 <DesertRose>   Sorry, Carys-kitteh decided she needed a couple of minutes of petting.
Mar 20 19:57:16 <Jerusha>   That's a very real looking cake
Mar 20 19:57:40 <Evie>   DD would love that cake. She likes working with fondant
Mar 20 19:57:41 <KK>   Which link?  Which fish?
Mar 20 19:57:42 <The_Bee>   real-looking fish, anyway
Mar 20 19:57:55 <Eyikl>   I wonder how they made it all shiney.
Mar 20 19:58:01 <Evie>   The link right after the sentence. Isn't it showing at your end?
Mar 20 19:58:16 <Jerusha>   The links are slow to appear
Mar 20 19:58:21 <Eyikl>   yep, it just took a second.
Mar 20 19:58:23 <Evie>   Ah, OK.
Mar 20 19:58:23 <The_Bee>   last link posted
Mar 20 19:58:49 <The_Bee>   see it now, KK?
Mar 20 19:58:49 <Evie>   It appears with the sentence at my end, but that's probably because I'm the one typing it
Mar 20 19:59:08 <DesertRose>   I think Mibbit may take its sweet time to show links.
Mar 20 19:59:10 <Evie>   http://list25.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Fish-cake.jpg  <--here it is again, if you still aren't seeing it
Mar 20 19:59:37 <KK>   Got it.  I wasn't reading the end of the line.
Mar 20 19:59:43 <Evie>   Or might be doing that thing where the picture icon doesn't show up
Mar 20 19:59:54 <Eyikl>   mine didn't show right away when I typed them.
Mar 20 20:00:04 <KK>   And Mibbit is definitely slow.  The second posting of that fish hasn't shown up yet.
Mar 20 20:00:18 <DesertRose>   Phooey on Mibbit, then.
Mar 20 20:00:18 <KK>   Now it's there.
Mar 20 20:00:19 <The_Bee>   Mibbit's working fast enough for me.
Mar 20 20:01:05 <Evie>   In Mibbit instead of showing the link, it sometimes shows a photo thumbnail, but sometimes that doesn't show up either, and you have to click on the white space where it would normally be.  But if you don't know there's a link there to click on, that's no help.
Mar 20 20:01:12 <DesertRose>   For anyone who missed this, I probably won't be at chat next week as I'll be out of town visiting family, so have a great Easter!
Mar 20 20:01:24 <The_Bee>   you too.
Mar 20 20:01:28 <DesertRose>   Thanks!
Mar 20 20:01:44 <Evie>   any chance of us migrating to that new chat client anytime soon, DR?  Or has bynw said anything recently about it?
Mar 20 20:01:45 <The_Bee>   KK, are you doing an Eater service?
Mar 20 20:01:52 <DesertRose>   I haven't heard anything recently.
Mar 20 20:01:57 <The_Bee>   Easter
Mar 20 20:01:58 <Evie>   Eating is after the service.  ;-)
Mar 20 20:02:52 <KK>   Nope.
Mar 20 20:03:01 <Jerusha>   There's nothing like carving the chocolate bunny
Mar 20 20:03:05 <Evie>   btw, I was surfing through the web this week and just happened to hit a page with an embedded ad for one of the new Deryni novel ebooks.  I squeed when I saw the cover art pop up in the ad feed.  :-D
Mar 20 20:03:05 <DesertRose>   LOL
Mar 20 20:03:23 <KK>   Excellent.
Mar 20 20:03:29 <DesertRose>   Yay!
Mar 20 20:03:51 <The_Bee>   Do you remember where?
Mar 20 20:03:55 <Eyikl>   nice
Mar 20 20:04:18 <Jerusha>   A collage of all the cover art would be cool
Mar 20 20:04:21 <Evie>   No, unfortunately, and it might be one of those pages that tailors the ads based on your interests, since Google can do that
Mar 20 20:04:36 <KK>   Yike, it's after 8.  I gotta go.  Should be here next week, though: Palm Sunday.
Mar 20 20:04:52 <Jerusha>   Night, KK and thanks for coming

Mar 20 20:05:02 <Eyikl>   night KK
Mar 20 20:05:05 <Evie>   Either that or we were all waving palms one week early
Mar 20 20:05:08 <DF64>   it is palm sunday
Mar 20 20:05:11 <The_Bee>   bye, KK.  Thanks for coming
Mar 20 20:05:13 *   KK steps onto her Portal, waves goodnight, and disappears in a shower of green sparkles.

Mar 20 20:05:23 <Jerusha>   and palm fronds

"If having a soul means being able to feel love, loyalty, and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans."

James Herriot (James Alfred "Alfie" Wight), when a human client asked him if animals have souls.  (I don't remember in which book the story originally appeared.)
