Elkhound

The board has been very quiet lately.

We had a burst of creativity around Easter and the Muses are taking their  post Easter break.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
(Psalm 46 v1)

Evie

I'm here, just spending most of my free time in another window writing my modern-era Deryni story. :)

(And I must have spent too much time with Gwyneddan priests in the past few years, since I understood that subject line despite not having taken any Latin classes!)
"In necessariis unitas, in non-necessariis libertas, in utrisque caritas."

--WARNING!!!--
I have a vocabulary in excess of 75,000 words, and I'm not afraid to use it!

Jerusha

I had a clever answer but lost it when DH informed me that DS2 called him to say the new grandson is probably arriving today.  Egad!
From ghoulies and ghosties and long-leggity beasties and things that go bump in the night...good Lord deliver us!

Prayers and best wishes for a safe arrival, Jerusha

Yay! Well, I guess that handily answers the question of where Jerusha will be today!  ;D

Hoping for a safe delivery and a healthy baby!

According to every grandparent I've ever asked, grandparenthood is way more fun than parenthood.  :D
"If having a soul means being able to feel love, loyalty, and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans."

James Herriot (James Alfred "Alfie" Wight), when a human client asked him if animals have souls.  (I don't remember in which book the story originally appeared.)

Shiral

Um, tromping around in Meara, trying to get Duke Jolyon of Laas to talk to me.

I'm looking forward to seeing that.

Have you tried smacking him upside the head?

Her Grace throws things to get his attention, so that smack might work.  :D

I suspect the Duke and Duchess of Laas go through numerous dishes. =o)
Maybe I should see if the Duke is out hawking in search of some peace and quiet.

I have no notion of what the translation to this post means. but i gather it is a call out to see what everyone is up to.

*So Hi Elkhound, I hope you are having a good day!

*Yah! Evie please keep writing, Can not wait to read the new story.

*Congratulations, Jerusha, grandma-hood is on the way.  I wish your family the very best of days and a happy bundle of new joy!

*Shiral, Offer Joylan some of the tasty author-trap treats and while his is sampling some delicious California ice-cream and cookies, overpower him with a little mind-seeing and glean all he knows about Laas.

*DR, did those chemises get done? and an over dress too?  Pictures?

I fear I am not playing in Gwynedd. There is a reenactment at a train museum on Saturday and I am desperately trying to finish a new dress.

Enjoy all your endeavors.
May your horses have wings and fly!

Jerusha

News on new grandson:  born at 1:41pm may 13, 2015. 7lbs 14 ounces 19.5 inches and absolutely perfect.

*happy dance*
