What a beautiful song, :'( Thank you for sharing.  From now on this is Maryse's theme song.
May your horses have wings and fly!

From ghoulies and ghosties and long-leggity beasties and things that go bump in the night...good Lord deliver us!

Goodness Evie, you must have eaten some powerful cheese before sleeping!

I've always understood that Duncan comes to see his relationship with Maryse as a gift from God which only enriches his Priesthood. and I don't think that he would see it as anything that needs to be hidden or spiritualised away.

I think we've been misled by victorian prudery into categorising all other ages except our own as being hung up on sex (and we're not of course!!) whereas despite the high status of virginity and the inevitable lurking misogynist or two ( none of those in the 21st century) it seems to me the Medieval era was much more comfortable  than we are about the overlap between spiritual and sensual/sexual. I always love the idea of a marriage bed being blessed.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
(Psalm 46 v1)
