ZipperSisters

If you’re a newsgroup member or a regular in chat or on the boards at www.rhemuthcastle.com, you’ve probably been trying to convince the Zipper Sisters to unzip for some months now. If you have yet to join the delightful group at alt.books.deryni, you probably find this URL somewhat bizarre.

In July, 1998, Melissa and I had the good fortune to spend a substantial amount of time with Katherine and Rob at Westercon in San Diego. During one of our lovely long chats, Katherine divulged a few secrets about KKB on the condition that we not publish this information on the Internet. Hence, when questions arise in the newsgroup whose answers we know but can’t share, we write ZZIIPP for which we were christened the Zipper Sisters. I think my Brother Theo theory probably illustrates the reason Melissa dubbed me the Mistress of Complications.

Anyway, periodically, we’ll unzip just a bit and share our theories about various mysteries in the Deryni series. Some of these are topics on which we’ve expounded in the newsgroup over a period of time, others may be new topics. We will try to take a point-counterpoint approach to debating these issues, but sometimes we find we agree. Nonetheless, I’m sure we’ll have no problem finding plenty to discuss and analyze. We look forward to your comments on our theories, too.
