Thank you so much, @Bynw
"If having a soul means being able to feel love, loyalty, and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans."

James Herriot (James Alfred "Alfie" Wight), when a human client asked him if animals have souls.  (I don't remember in which book the story originally appeared.)

Thank you, Bynw. That's beautiful.
Let God rise up, let his enemies be scattered;
    let those who hate him flee before him.
As smoke is driven away, so drive them away;
    as wax melts before the fire,
    let the wicked perish before God.

Bynw, thank you so very much for sharing.

I love the two photos of Scott offered there. Very nice.
And I love one persons comment- "I will forever remember the time spent as a guest at his home. A better host you’d never find."
That says it all.

Such wonderful tributes! Thanks for sharing that, Bynw. I only met Scott a few times when I was hanging around with KK at Dragon*Con, usually if she needed to go up to their hotel room for something, but I remember him being a gracious host, happy to engage one of his wife's fans in conversation if he happened to have a few minutes to spare between the various events he was at the Con to enjoy and participate in.

Thank you for sharing Bynw. So glad to see the photos - a face to put to my prayers.

Very kind words from many people.  I never had the opportunity to meet Scott, so the words and pictures are much appreciated.  Thanks, Bynw!

Found it, thanks bynw. My participation in the castle and the forum is much more recent than most of you so I did not really know Scott . But thank you for this chance to learn more about  him. I can tell he must have been a wonderful  person.

For anyone who may be able to go:

Scott's memorial service will be March 9th at 2pm at Bethany Lutheran/Good Shepherd Anglican Church, 712 West Main St, at the intersection of Maple St. Waynesboro VA.
