They remain in my thoughts.  I hope there is some good news soon.

Continuing to hold them all in the light.
"If having a soul means being able to feel love, loyalty, and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans."

James Herriot (James Alfred "Alfie" Wight), when a human client asked him if animals have souls.  (I don't remember in which book the story originally appeared.)

For those who didn't make it to chat tonight, KK called me to say she wouldn't make it this week (which is why there isn't a log posted) and gave me permission to share what is going on. Scott's liver damage is terminal, and the doctors only expect him to live for somewhere between two weeks and two months. The plan was to release him from hospital and into hospice care at the cottage on their property where LBM was living before moving into assisted living care.  (This move home might have already happened, but that wasn't clear from the conversation, although she did say he is in hospice care now.) Cameron is with KK now, and Scott's brother was also visiting tonight but was going to be leaving in the morning, which is why KK didn't pop into the chat room to share the news in person. However, she said she might show up next Sunday, depending on how Scott is doing that night and if she's able to take a chat break at that time.  She thanks everyone for their thoughts and prayers, and asks for you to continue. She appreciates the emotional support during this difficult time.

With all my heart, my thoughts go out to Scott, To KK and to all their family. This is not the news we wanted to hear. We were so hoping for healthier news. The good thing is that he is coming home to the cottage. If you speak with KK, giver her our love.

Prayers for them all.  Such sad news.

My prayers go with them. Such sad news, especially given that KK also has LBM to worry about. Praying that he can come home to the cottage and that they can have good time together.
Let God rise up, let his enemies be scattered;
    let those who hate him flee before him.
As smoke is driven away, so drive them away;
    as wax melts before the fire,
    let the wicked perish before God.
(Psalm 68 vv1-2)

As ever, holding them in the Light.

If anyone would like to light a candle for KK, Scott, LBM, and their loved ones, here is a site founded by a Benedictine monk who also practices Zen Buddhism (and does some ecumenical work) wherein you may light a candle virtually. https://gratefulness.org/light-a-candle/

Here is the one I lit.

As always, they are in my thoughts.  Hoping they may enjoy each others company for a long as possible.

While I hope Scott pulls through, the doctors know more. I'm not one for praying, I'll keep thinking happy thoughts.
