Happy Mothering Sunday to you and all of your extended family new and old.  ( I admit I had to look it up in Wikipedia)
I hope you had a good service in your new church.

Bumping this for this year's UK Mothering Sunday, since it's Sunday there now (not quite Sunday in US Eastern for a few hours, but we'll overlook that  ;D ).

Celebrate your mum!

(When I think of the word "mum" for "mother," [even though given pronunciation, it makes more sense than "mom"], I always think of that silly radio commercial for Outback Steakhouse that they used to run for US Mother's Day, that had a bunch of men singing in bad-fake Australian accents, off tune, off key, and not in time with one another, about "No one ever loves you like your mum, everything we owe we owe to mum, even when she whacked you on your bum..."  It was meant to be goofy.)

And, of course, Mar. 25th is the Annunciation--the day celebrating the greatest mother in history.

Happy Mothering Sunday to the mums in the UK and anywhere else that doesn't wait until May to do Mother's Day!  I hope you have a lovely day!  :D

And, unless the calendar is lying to me, it is again Mothering Sunday in the UK (and I think also Ireland, Australia, Canada, and a few other places?), so blessings of the day to our mums!

Right off the top of my head, our forum members who are mothers who live in countries that celebrate today are @AnnieUK and @revanne in the UK and @Jerusha in Canada.  If I've forgotten any others, it is not intentional.

Actually, we don't celebrate Mothering Sunday in Canada;  we celebrate Mother's Day as is done in the US.

But thank you for the best wishes anyway; they are always appreciated.  :)

Happy Mothering Sunday to all who celebrate it!

Happy Mothering Sunday to all.
I recently read that Mothering Sunday was to celebrate the Mother Church, but then was adapted to celebrate all mothers. I agree that all mothers should be celebrated for  the efforts they put in to raising a family.

A very happy mothering day to those across the pond. Mothers certainly deserve thanks and recognition for all they do.

Missed this as we were travelling from South Wales to Cornwall on Sunday. The day got ignored here as it (& Fathers Day) often do as it is a mixed emotions for our (adopted) son. He will happily tell you he has had three Mummies but it is also mixed up with a lot of emotion. However belated Gappy Motherís Day to all who celebrated

Bless him.
It can be such a difficult day which is why I insist it is Mothering Sunday not Mother's Day - we mother and are mothered in so many ways.
