Title: Proposed plot for film sequel to KKB
Post by: BalanceTheEnergies on September 08, 2013, 07:37:45 PM
I once promised to share this with you, and at last i think I can get it up online. I wrote this stuff down several years ago; it came bubbling out when someone said in a forum thread that only the Chronicles should be filmed. I had to disagree (still do), but I pulled myself up short in spilling this so as not to hijack the thread.

This is designed as an eighth and concluding part after the Chronicles, the Histories and KKB. I think Kelson's reign is a good place to close in on the resolution of the myth arcs (Deryni-human relations and Gwynedd-Torenth relations).

I found the notebook and deciphered the pencil marks (that was dumb, writing it in pencil), and I've typed the thing at last. I've had to split it into parts in my effort to upload it here. I'm trying to attach the first pdf file to this post.

Hope you like it...

It looks like you tried to attach something (at least that's what the paperclip icon seems to indicate), but unfortunately attachments don't work for me on this forum, so I can't view whatever it is.   :(  Is there any way to put it in the body of the message?

Can you give me your email, so I can send it to you? I'm also having trouble even posting it in pieces. It's a pdf, so you should be able to read it.

I can PM it to you, sure, but what I'm saying is that some people are not able to read any sort of attachment posted here on this forum, whether it's a PDF or whatever sort of file it is, so just bear in mind that if you post anything here as an attachment, not everyone will be able to get to it.  I tried Chrome, Firefox, and IE, and can't access an attachment from this Forum in any of those.  (On the other hand, I belong to another Simple Machines forum and can easily view photo attachments on that board--don't know about other file formats--so it might have something to do with how Bynw set this forum up.  Not all moderators want to allow attachments due to the potential for spreading infected files, so maybe there's a block built in?)  I think last time someone else posted an attachment here, someone was able to get to it, but had to use a different browser from her usual one.  If I try to click on the paper clip, the first time I do it I get an odd little flash at the top of my screen that makes me think maybe the attachment is trying to open as a popup, but it happens so fast I'm not sure that's what's happening, and I don't get the usual option from my popup blocker that lets me override it and open the popup it's blocking.

I'll PM you my email address, since I'm quite curious about your PDF file now. :)

Since there's been some trouble downloading the files from here, I've emailed the whole thing to Evie, and i told her she could pass it on to any  of you who might be interested. Feel free to discuss the particulars in this thread, though as i said in chat, I have to move, so I may not respond promptly.

Hope you like it; it was designed with the fans in mind.  :)

I am sorry I am not able to see the attachments. Is there another way to download them to the gallery or the board and them link to them?  Bynw, do you have any suggestions?  I'm interested in what you have.

Either Bynw worked his magic, or my Scottish laptop speaks the right language. I've been able to download all attachments just fine.

Now I just need to squeeze in some time to read them!  :)

An interesting point of Bryony finding she's a Healer.  Someone did a fanfic in which she found out inadvertently that she could when her kitten was hurt.  She was petting him and thinking very hard about him being well. . . .and suddenly he was.

I'm guessing that a lot of Healers find their talent that way, especially those not from Healer families.

^ That sounds like a callback to Rhys and the cat in that Archives story "Catalyst".

In this case, it's a reference to Rhys and Evaine's Healer daughter from the Codex, as well as being useful for reconciling Morgan to the fact of his little girl growing up and serving a subplot.

Yes, hello there. I've finally acquired an iPad (via lease), so I'm not totally out of reach. I don't know when I can rejoin the Sunday chats, since I can't afford wifi at home, and the public library doesn't allow IRC on its computers (and when they are open on Sundays, they close at 5:30 or 6:00 local time). As many of you know from bitter personal experience, poverty sucks.

That's sounds nice, but I'm working third shift (11 pm to 7 am M-F), so I'm usually asleep then. They're trying to find a replacement, but the pay is low as well, so there aren't many takers. I'm supposed to get a week off in September, so maybe then.
