Title: About Lammas Night
Post by: Bynw on January 21, 2017, 08:19:11 AM
Lammas Night, explores the magic working behind the scenes during World War II and introduces Sir John Graham, an adept in a tradition different from either the Deryni arts or Adam Sinclair's magic. Graham reappears in the later Adept books and in one of the Adept short stories, "Obligations", in the Templar Series. ( The planned Adept VI will probably encompass Lammas Night II and tell the story of Graham's workings with Phillippa Sinclair, Adam's mother, during the later years of World War II.) This thriller combines the magic found in Katherine's other works with a fascinating look at real world history. It's difficult to find the line between fiction and reality and impossible to put this book down.

Just reading this now and really loving it.  It's quite hard to see where fact, fiction and fantasy meld into each other. Without giving away any spoilers, KK manages to have a realistic royal prince without distorting the characters of existing royals of the time.
