[18:13]<the_Bee> Hello KK!
[18:13]<KK> Hi, guys.  Did the Easter bunny leave you lots of eggs and peeps?
[18:14]<the_Bee> I think Mickey and Melantha chased him away.
[18:15]<jemler> hi KK!
[18:15]<KK> Hi, Jemler.
[18:16]<KK> Did you guys have a good week?  Is it spring where you are?
[18:16]<the_Bee> almost summer here this weekend, but who know how long that will last?
[18:16]<jemler> starting to get it. about 70 deg now, but a chilly wind.
[18:17]<KK> We've got lots of stuff in bloom.  Everything is getting coated with a fine layer of pollen.
[18:17]<jemler> do you have hay fever?
[18:17]<the_Bee> Forsythia is in bloom here in Mass.
[18:17]<KK> Yep, here, too.  And daffs.
[18:18]<the_Bee> and the cherry trees in Wash. DC, I hear.
[18:19]<KK> Our cherry trees haven't started yet, but I've seen some elsewhere in Staunton.  And the flowering pear trees are in full bloom.
[18:20]<the_Bee> We have magnolias in April or May, but I'm not sure they're thesame species as Southern Magnolias.
[18:20]<jemler> i'm not a flower person. i can tell the difference between a dandelion and a sunflower, that's about it! :)
[18:20]<KK> I don't know that I have hay fever as such, but I certainly have allergies.
[18:21]<the_Bee> not fun
[18:21]<KK> Our magnolias will come later, even after the dogwoods, which should be blooming fairly soon.  And the tulips are out--and haven't even been eaten yet by the deer!
[18:21]<jemler> Southern Magnolias hae flowers with a southern accent!
[18:23]<the_Bee> I've heard our magnolias called "tulip trees."  I call them Northern Magnolias if I'm talking to a southerner.
[18:25]<the_Bee> So, KK, is the writing still on a roll?
[18:26]<KK> Well, I've had a good writing week.  Alaric has made a friend at court, and we've just about gotten through Twelfth Night.
[18:27]<the_Bee> A sinificant event in Gwynnedd, n'est pas?
[18:27]<the_Bee> and significant
[18:29]<KK> Twelfth Night?  Ah, yes.  Probably the most important court date.  Most knightings take place then, unless there's good reason to do it elsewhen.
[18:32]<the_Bee> and marriages?
[18:33]<+Elim> jemler, I do not celebrate easter since I am agnostic.
[18:33]<KK> Not so much, but sometimes.  Reason would be if there were a state significance.
[18:33]<the_Bee> Kelson and Sidana
[18:33]<jemler> Elim, ok didn't know that.
[18:33]<KK> Well, Easter is also a celebration of spring, in the general sense.
[18:34]<the_Bee> the word "eater" comes from the pagan goddess Eos.
[18:35]<+Elim> I am more of a fall kind of guy anyway.
[18:35]<the_Bee> a fallguy? for whom?
[18:36]<+Elim> Ah, I see you have won the_Bee, here have a squid.
[18:37]<the_Bee> LOL
[18:37]<jemler> remember the tv show "The Fall Guy"? Who played him, and what was his name?
[18:38]<the_Bee> I wonder if some chatters have been absent because they don't have IRC and can't get in without the website?  No, I don't recall the Fall Guy.
[18:39]<KK> I knew it existed, but I don't think I ever watched it.
[18:39]<jemler> Colt Seevers played by Lee Majors
[18:39]<the_Bee> What was it about?
[18:40]<jemler> he was a stuntman who moonlighted as a bounty hunter.
[18:41]<KK> Ah, yes, now that you've jogged my memory, I remember the premise.  Still didn't watch it.
[18:41]<KK> Speaking of TV, has anyone been watching the new V?
[18:41]<jemler> nope
[18:42]<jemler> been watching the OLD battlestar galactica
[18:42]<the_Bee> Yes.  one watched, one on tape.
[18:42]<the_Bee> Do you have a nostalgia channel, jemler?
[18:43]<jemler> no, netflix
[18:44]<jemler> i have the series on vhs, but they won't fit in my dvd player!
[18:44]<the_Bee> I have one. old BSG is on it.
[18:44]<KK> Eeep, I hear my guys rummaging in the kitchen, so I'm going to have to sign off shortly.  We're having steaks tonight--or "snakes," as we refer to them en famile.  (Speaking of which, Booker caught and ate a grass snake today, before anyone could take it away from.  He's a hound, all right.)
[18:45]<the_Bee> YummY!
[18:45]<KK> Right.
[18:45]<jemler> then he's already had his snake, just give him the baked potatoe! (sic a la Dan Quayle!)
[18:46]<KK> Groan!
[18:46]<jemler> lol
[18:46]* the_Bee slaps jemler around a bit with a large trout
[18:46]<KK> Is that wehre the squid came from, earlier?
[18:47]<jemler> no, that was from the famous store "Squid Pro Quo"!
[18:47]* jemler ducks, just in case!
[18:47]<KK> Double-groan.
[18:49]<the_Bee> I hear they're still mourning the death of the Suicide Squid.65656565656565656565656565656565656565656565656565656565656565656565656565656565656565656565656565656565656565656565656565656565
[18:49]<KK> Well, I do have to go and start dinner, guys.  But it's been swell. See you next week.
[18:49]<jemler> nite kk
[18:49]<the_Bee> enjoy your meal.  good writing, KK
[18:50]* KK steps onto her Portal, waves good night, and disappears in a shower of green sparkles.
[18:50]<jemler> were the jokes
[18:50]<jemler> that bad?
[18:50]<the_Bee> were or are?
[18:51]<KK> No, they were very good.  Sorry I don't have a seafood menu on my system.  :-)
[18:51]<jemler> i'll write a vb app with a popcorn shrimp menu!
[18:51]<KK> Byeeee.....
[18:52]* KK has quit (Quit: )
