KK Chat - Dec. 29, 2002, pt. 2

[16:43] <Shiral> Yes, Margaret is definitely cool <G>
[16:43] <KK> Don't know, Marian.  I'd love for that to be the case. So far as I know, though, it's still technically in print.
[16:43] * Barticus has not read that in awhile and needs to reread it
[16:43] <Shiral> She allowed a herd of Deryni fans into her living room -- she must be cool!
[16:43] <Mistyck> good question, Marian...I have read it but I'd love to OWN it :D
[16:43] <Lady_Marian> My copy is so tattered that I barely dare open it and I've not had a lot of luck finding another copy of it.
[16:43] <kirienne> LOL Shiral
[16:44] <KK> Well, I do still get tiny royalty checks, so there must be a few out there that are selling.
[16:44] <Lady_Marian> Ah, well, I'll keep looking.
[16:44] <Martine> I loaned my copy to Ann - and am holding one of her books as hostage to make sure I get it back! <grin>
[16:44] <Mistyck> yep, me too, Marian
[16:44] <Shiral> Checks from tiny royalty....what an image
[16:44] <Lady_Marian> I live out in the boonies and the nearest bookstore is over an hour away...
[16:44] <VirtualBabe> I know chapters/indego doesn't list it
[16:44] <KK> Smart woman, Martine!
[16:44] <Lady_Marian> *giggle*
[16:44] <Jestyna> Try the net... I've managed to find books that were out of print on Amazon
[16:44] <jm> Liliputians
[16:44] <Shiral> LOL, will you have a "prisoner exchange" later?
[16:45] <Lady_Marian> That will have to wait until I find paying work!
[16:45] <Kelos_al-Hazar> At least my condition is MUCH better than it was last week at this time.
[16:45] <jm> Try half.com
[16:45] <Martine> LOL, Shiral! Probably at Gencon, assuming I get the time off to go.
[16:45] <Lady_Marian> Thanks, jm, I'll check them out.
[16:45] <Mistyck> to everyone out there:  if you find a copy of LN buy it for me! I'll pay ya cost, postage and gas money for a week
[16:45] <Barticus> alot of people have come down with it Kelos
[16:45] <Kiri`> Mist - hardback or paperback?
[16:45] <Shiral> It's winter, crud happens
[16:45] <Martine> I'm flu-ridden myself, Kelos
[16:45] <KK> Martine, we'll send "release" woodgies so that you can get time off to come!
[16:45] <Jestyna> lol  Mistyck
[16:45] <VirtualBabe> you might have luck with abebooks.
[16:45] <Shiral> I think it's only in paperback, Kiri
[16:45] <Lady_Marian> I'm finally over it... got it in October and only this last two weeks have I been well. :P
[16:45] <kirienne> I have 2 used books stores fairly close to me. I will look
[16:45] <Kelos_al-Hazar> It's all over the nation, I know, Bart.
[16:45] <Martine> Thanks! I need to go!
[16:46] <Kiri`> i got a hardback over the summer
[16:46] <Mistyck> any kind Kiri
[16:46] <Shiral> Hmm, I thought it had only been released as a paperback
[16:46] <Kiri`> mist - i think i know of a copy.. shall email you tomorrow over it =)
[16:46] * Barticus is lucky he has not gotten it yet
[16:46] <KK> The only hardback that I know about was a UK edition from Severn House.
[16:46] <Kiri`> yep  tha'ts it
[16:46] <Kelos_al-Hazar> ::shudders at the thought of another two months of this::
[16:46] <Mistyck> great kiri...thanks :D
[16:46] <VirtualBabe> I've been checking there for codex, but no luck
[16:46] <Shiral> of course, you could try for llamas night, instead...
[16:46] <Kiri`> giggles
[16:46] <Barticus> llamas?
[16:47] <Shiral> It takes place in Peru
[16:47] <Lady_Marian> LOL! No I'm not interested in esoteric Vicunas!
[16:47] <Martine> No! Shiral! Not the llamas! Hide them before Nancy comes in and sees!
[16:47] <KK> I have the llama on a shelf in my office, wearing a white knight's belt and a gold chain and a little Robin Hood hat with a plume!
[16:47] <jm> Bad Shiral, very bad
[16:47] <Shiral> LOL
[16:47] <Shiral> I know, it was an evil impulse
[16:47] <RainTurtle> heheheh
[16:47] <Kiri`> KK - oh it sounds cute!
[16:47] <Shiral> But I'm acting on them before I have to make new year's resolutions
[16:47] <KK> Yep, a fan gave it to me--natch.
[16:47] <kirienne> LOL Katherine, I can picture that
[16:47] <StephanieG> KK: that is a frightening image
[16:48] <Shiral> But funny
[16:48] <VirtualBabe> I hope it's a stuffed one, not a real one
[16:48] <Martine> All the office llama needs now is a bow and quiver of arrows :-)
[16:48] <KK> It's a really cute llama.
[16:48] <Jestyna> I'm trying to picture it as well Marine
[16:48] <Jestyna> *Martine
[16:48] <Lady_Marian> nah! Knights didn't use arrows
[16:48] <Kiri`> The Four Llama's of the Apocalypse
[16:48] <kirienne> LOL Kiri
[16:48] <Martine> But he needs them to go with the Robin Hood hat!
[16:48] * Jestyna rolls her eyes
[16:48] <KK> Nope, he'd have a sword.  But he's got the white belt and chain.
[16:48] <Kelos_al-Hazar> If anyone who was at Darkover, who has pictures of me in my costume could send me copies or scans of it/them, I'd appreciate it!
[16:48] <Shiral> How does one hold a sword with hoofs?
[16:49] <KK> Very carefully.
[16:49] <VirtualBabe> very carefully
[16:49] <Jestyna> LOL
[16:49] <Jestyna> GM
[16:49] <Shiral> GMTA, you two
[16:49] <KK> LOL, Babe.
[16:49] <VirtualBabe> GMTA
[16:49] <kirienne> shiral, he's a magic llama, they can hold swords, especially if they've been knighted
[16:49] <Shiral> That's as good an explanation as any, Kirienne
[16:50] * VirtualBabe hums a few bars of "Puff the Magic Llama"
[16:50] <jm> Must have been knighted, has the white belt- Sir Llama
[16:50] <RainTurtle> lol
[16:50] <KK> I also have a phurba, and a Saint Cam-Bear, and an Alaric Morgan dragon....
[16:50] <Jestyna> He'd have to be since llamas needs all four legs to walk on
[16:50] <kirienne> LOL VB
[16:50] <Shiral> Alaric Morgan as dragon....well I've always expected something along those lines
[16:50] <Martine> Hmmm.... sounds like you need a Haldane lion to round out the collection!
[16:50] <KK> And several gargoyles....
[16:50] <Lady_Marian> hey, if cucumbers and tomatoes can sail ships and carry musical instruments in Veggietales without hands, why not a llama carry a sword?
[16:50] <Lady_Marian> :)
[16:50] <Kiri`> I figured it'd be a Morgan horse named Alaric
[16:50] * Martine gets her evil crafty ideas whirring
[16:50] <Jestyna> Gargoyles for sure!
[16:50] <Barticus> what is a phurba?
[16:50] <KK> The dragon is one of those cute beanbag ones, wearing a green tunic and cloak, and with a sword....
[16:50] <Lady_Marian> (can you tell I've seen WAY too many kids' videos recently?)
[16:51] <Shiral> Martine, you don't have ENOUGH projects?
[16:51] * Tika gasps
[16:51] * Martine hangs her head.
[16:51] <StephanieG> wow that is quite the collection. Is Saint Cam-Bear a bear in a grey robe?
[16:51] <Martine> Yes, Shiral. I do.
[16:51] <Kiri`> it's the singular of a phur-bee (fur-bee) Bart =)
[16:51] <Tika> Bart, you need to read the Adept books :P
[16:51] <Shiral> So now you're adding another one?
[16:51] <Shiral> =o)
[16:51] <KK> No, Cam-Bear is wearing Michaeline robes.
[16:51] <VirtualBabe> Three edged ritual knife.  for more info read Adept 4
[16:51] * Tika gets in the car and drives to Bart's house with Adept books
[16:51] <Barticus> okay I'll read them again
[16:51] <Martine> I have to finish one first, Mom.
[16:51] <StephanieG> ah that is even better!
[16:51] <Barticus> doh!
[16:51] * Shiral swats Martine with a pillow
[16:52] * Martine ducks and watchers her cat scramble out of pillow way
[16:52] <Shiral> Hey, *I* didn't lose your wedding dress <G>
[16:52] * Barticus remebers
[16:52] <Martine> Details, Shiral! ;-)
[16:52] <KK> There's a great animated phurba in--I think it's The Phantom, or the Shadow...one of those.
[16:52] <Andy_Hock> Speaking of Adept books, are there any plans to do more of them, or is that series finished?
[16:52] <Jestyna> I am sorry to say, that my hour or so of freedom is up... back to the real work for me... it was great to finally be here at the same time as you KK.  I hope to see you all again next week. Happy New Years!
[16:52] <VirtualBabe> One was in that shadow movie
[16:52] <RainbowDragon> The Shadow, KK
[16:52] <Shiral> Night, Jestyne
[16:52] <Shiral> Jestyna, Happy New Year
[16:52] <Martine> Bye, Jestyna!
[16:52] <Kiri`> bye !
[16:53] <RainTurtle> bye
[16:53] <KK> Night, Jestyna!  Happy New Year.
[16:53] <VirtualBabe> Bye-eee Jestyna
[16:53] <jm> Bye
[16:53] <Sedina> bye, Jestyna
[16:53] <Mistyck> nite Jes
[16:53] <Barticus> oh its the Shadow
[16:53] * Jestyna leaves in a puff of.... pixy dust
[16:53] <Lady_Marian> Bye jestyna!
[16:53] *** Jestyna has left #Deryni_Destinations
[16:53] <Barticus> with alec Baldwin
[16:53] <KK> Yep
[16:53] <Barticus> now I know what it is
[16:53] <KK> It was a nasty phurba.
[16:53] * StephanieG starts humming Away in a Manger while her daughter is singing it.
[16:53] <Kelos_al-Hazar> "What Evil Lurks In the Hearts of Men? The Shadow Knows!"
[16:53] * VirtualBabe was not very impressed with that movie
[16:53] <KK> Yep.  Him.
[16:54] <Tika> mmmmmm Baldwins :)
[16:54] <Shiral> Getting poked with even a good phurba would hurt, though
[16:54] <Martine> That was a fun movie :-)
[16:54] * Martine mmmmmmmmms with Tika ;-)
[16:54] <KK> But I <loved> the black dress she wore, with the beading on the cowl neck and slit sleeves.
[16:54] <jm> Aw it was good mindless fun for 90 minutes or so
[16:54] <Lady_Marian> The last movie I saw was HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS... did a newscast feature story project on it too.
[16:54] <Shiral> Last movie I saw was Two Towers
[16:54] <Martine> That's the last movie I saw too, Marian!
[16:54] <Tika> you haven't seen The Two Towers, Marian???
[16:54] * Mistyck still has to go see TT
[16:54] * Martine swats at Shiral and Tika for seeing Two Towers.
[16:54] <Lady_Marian> Haven't gotten to go to TT yet... drat!
[16:54] <jm> Saw that last night
[16:54] <kirienne> Last movie I saw was Two Towers, last night
[16:54] <Kelos_al-Hazar> Nor have I.
[16:54] <Shiral> Sorry!
[16:55] <Lady_Marian> Budget things...
[16:55] <Tika> mmmmmmmm Legolas :)
[16:55] <Martine> My attempts to see TT were confounded by this darn flu virus
[16:55] <Lady_Marian> Next week though!
[16:55] <VirtualBabe> I'm waiting for the feeding frenzy to die down before I go see Two Towers
[16:55] * Shiral swats Martine with an elf-bow
[16:55] <Kiri`> don't look at me..  i've not seen it =)
[16:55] *** Temprus has quit IRC (QUIT: MUST ... NOT .... QUOTE .... ANY ... THING!!!!!)
[16:55] <jm> Now have to wait a year for the end
[16:55] <Martine> I had to settle for the computer game TT instead :-)
[16:55] <Shiral> Probably wise, VB
[16:55] <KK> Go on New Year's Eve.  No one else will be there.
[16:55] * Barticus doesn't know when he will see two towers
[16:55] <Martine> Oooo! Excellent idea, Katherine!
[16:55] <Lady_Marian> I did the feature story on opening night and turned it in for my Newscasting and field reporting class project. :)
[16:55] * Martine makes plans to drag hubby
[16:55] <kirienne> I went to the Midnight opening showing, had a blast in a theater with screaming fans
[16:55] * StephanieG and Devin have to find their vouchers for free tickets so they can go to the TT.
[16:55] * Tika will kidnap Barticus and take him to see it later this evening when she arrives with Adept books LOL ;)
[16:55] <Shiral> If hubby won't go, take the cat, instead <G>
[16:55] <RainTurtle> I'm not about to drive an hour, this time of year, to go to a cinema with lots of unShielded people....so I'm waiting for the video version
[16:55] <Lady_Marian> I can't go New Year's Eve... my husband has to work that evening until 10pm
[16:56] <KK> Yay, Tika!
[16:56] <Martine> LOL! But Arwen will keep trying to steal Strider off the screen!
[16:56] <VirtualBabe> Sir Ian was at a midnight opening here in Vancouver
[16:56] <Shiral> Okay, then leave her at home <G>
[16:56] <Shiral> Strider belongs to me
[16:56] * Kelos_al-Hazar sympathizes with RainTurtle...
[16:56] <Tika> j/k, I doubt Barticus would stay up as late as it would take me to get there
[16:56] <Tika> and I have to be at work tomorrow morning anyway, ugh
[16:56] <Martine> Work! Ugh! Me too!
[16:56] <Shiral> Ack, the "W" word
[16:56] *** sparkles has joined #Deryni_Destinations
[16:56] <Tika> but we *could* go kidnap him on Tuesday night, hmmmmmmmm ;)
[16:56] <Lady_Marian> And I can't find a sitter for that night!
[16:57] <jm> Thought you got Alaric Shiral
[16:57] <RainTurtle> hi, Sparkles
[16:57] <VirtualBabe> Hi sparkles
[16:57] <jm> Hi Sparkles
[16:57] <sparkles> Howdy
[16:57] <Martine> And I have to be at work darn early tomorrow too..... wah!
[16:57] <kirienne> I used my free ticket from the dvd last night, had to use it by dec 31
[16:57] <Shiral> Oh I do. But I want Strider, too
[16:57] <StephanieG> RT: We are lucky we have a small very nice new theater here in town and going to a matinee will make it almost completely deserted and safe.
[16:57] <Barticus> howdy sparkles
[16:57] <Shiral> Hello sparkles
[16:57] <jm> How does Alaric feel about being two timed?
[16:57] <Martine> Hi Sparkles
[16:57] <Lady_Marian> LOL
[16:57] <Tika> Barticus you working Tuesday evening? :)
[16:57] <Shiral> He doesn't know about my double life JM
[16:57] <RainTurtle> Stephanie: nearest cinema is several towns over, on the other side of the next county....theatres, we have, though
[16:57] <Martine> What he doesn't know, jm..... ;-)
[16:57] <kirienne> I want Alaric, Legolas, Aragorn and Celeborn, and would not mind Elrond
[16:57] <Sedina> hi sparkles
[16:58] <sparkles> Anything new and exciting going on in the Deryni world?
[16:58] <Martine> I can practically walk to the nearest theater with digital surround sound. Whoo hoo!
[16:58] <KK> Some of us are gloating about having seem the Two Towers.
[16:58] <kirienne> hi Sparkles
[16:58] <Kelos_al-Hazar> kirienne: Which DVD set had a free Two Towers ticket in it?
[16:58] <Shiral> Oh, don't be so modest with your desires, Kirienne
[16:58] <jm> My daughter wants Legolas
[16:58] <Lady_Marian> Faramir... I crushed on Faramir back when I was a teenager and read the books...
[16:58] <VirtualBabe> the Big set
[16:58] <kirienne> the 4 disc set
[16:58] <StephanieG> RT: that sucks. We used to have to travel several towns to go to a cinema. The new ones we could walk to and are way nicer than any of the other ones.
[16:58] <Kelos_al-Hazar> I've GOT that!
[16:58] <Shiral> The expanded edition of Fellowship
[16:58] <sparkles> I haven't been yet, but I have next week off - so maybe
[16:58] <RainTurtle> (and to make matters worse, I can't even use my damper if I'll be driving that night...._heavy_ Shielding needed for such excursions)
[16:59] <Sedina> I went to TT last Saturday during the day...it was nearly full, but there were a few seats left
[16:59] <kirienne> I have loved Aragorn and Legolas since I read the books in high school, in the late 60's
[16:59] <VirtualBabe> with the statues, but it's only good in the states :-(
[16:59] <Martine> I was always a Legolas girl from my very first read.
[16:59] <Tika> mmmmmmmm Legolas :)
[16:59] <Mistyck> Strider's girl here
[16:59] <KK> I have to say that the audience was very quiet and respectful when we went, last Monday night.
[16:59] <Shiral> Both the 4 DVD and the 5 dvd set has the ticket voucher
[16:59] <StephanieG> I must confess that I didn't read the books until after I had seen the Fellowship.
[16:59] <sparkles> Aragorn is a personal favorite of mine, too
[16:59] <Barticus> for some reason I had a hard time reading them
[16:59] <KK> We figured most people would be out Christmas shopping--and they were.
[16:59] <VirtualBabe> but it's still good for the US only
[16:59] <Shiral> Yes
[17:00] <Lady_Marian> I read them eighteen times by the time I joined the Navy in 1981
[17:00] <Shiral> You win, Marian
[17:00] <Shiral> <G>
[17:00] <VirtualBabe> well, I've got a new book to read
[17:00] <KK> Bart, you are not alone.  I had about 3 false starts before I could get into the first book--but then whipped through all three in about as many weeks.
[17:00] <KK> Of course, that was far too many years ago....
[17:00] <VirtualBabe> it's called Crusade Of fire
[17:00] <kirienne> the audiences have been quiet and respectful for 3 of the times I've seen it. but opening night was the night we all screamed and cheered, starting when the title came up on screen. It was a verra fun night
[17:00] <Martine> I had my first read when I was stuck in the hospital for a week, with no TV in my room.
[17:00] * Mistyck hangs her head in shame as she admits to paying the library the "lost" fine so she could keep the Trilogy for her own :(
[17:00] <Lady_Marian> Unfortunately, my senior year, my English Teacher wouldn't let me do my term paper on DERYNI RISING... *grin*
[17:01] <Lady_Marian> so I did it on LOTR.
[17:01] <Barticus> maybe someday when I finish reading my tom clancy book
[17:01] <jm> Read them over the weekend once, wasn't much use on Monday following that
[17:01] <Shiral> What a silly teacher, Marian
[17:01] <Shiral> <G>
[17:01] <Barticus> I liked the hobbit though
[17:01] <sparkles> I'm rereading King Javan's Year - but it is very depressing
[17:01] <Martine> Really, Marian? Camber of Culdi was part of the Modern Novel curriculum at Duke U when I was there.
[17:01] <KK> Well, talk to Linda Richardson.  She got to do her master's thesis on the first three books.  :-)
[17:01] <jm> Some teachers just don't know good literature
[17:01] <VirtualBabe> I agree JM
[17:01] <Lady_Marian> I've read them so often now that when I reread them I just pick a charater and follow him through the book
[17:01] * Kelos_al-Hazar quite nearly did the same with the copy of Codex he'd secured from ILL, but it would have been very dishonourable to do so.
[17:01] <jm> That whole trilogy is kind of dark sparkles
[17:01] <Lady_Marian> Well, that was back in 1979...
[17:02] <Shiral> Definitely a dark trilogy
[17:02] <Mistyck> hey, I was 16 at the time
[17:02] <Shiral> I had a hard time with Harrowing as SO many bad things kept happening
[17:02] <Lady_Marian> I'm 41 now
[17:02] <Lady_Marian> I don't know what made me cry harder, Javan's death or Rhys Micheal's...
[17:02] <Tika> Javan's
[17:02] <sparkles> It's difficult, because you know it will be horrible, you just don't know HOW it will be horrible.
[17:03] <Kiri`> wait.. she's doing her master's thesis on ??  is her thesis for literature/english?
[17:03] <KK> Bernadette, I don't believe that!  You've got a painting in the attic!
[17:03] <Lady_Marian> BTW, MY Rhys Micheal is going just fine! He'll be two years old on January 29th!
[17:03] <VirtualBabe> Javan's, aT LEAST rHYS mICHAEL GOT BACK AT THE REGENTS
[17:03] <Tika> it's rare that I end up BOO-HOO-crying during a book... Javan dying did that
[17:03] <KK> Gad!
[17:03] <jm> BP ends on an up note but still is dark, now I am waiting for 948 book
[17:03] <RainTurtle> Marion: very cool  :)
[17:03] <KK> Javan's death did that for me, too.
[17:03] * VirtualBabe cusses at the caps lock
[17:03] <KK> It's hard to write when you're crying.
[17:03] <jm> Which I fear will also be dark
[17:03] <Shiral> Javan's was heartbreaking
[17:03] <Lady_Marian> Nope, no painting... just excellent genetics... my granddad look to be 50 when he was 75
[17:03] <Mistyck> yes
[17:03] <Kiri`> javan's was more difficult imo
[17:03] <sparkles> I want the 948 book, too.  What happens to Ansel? and Joram?
[17:03] <Tika> I remember Bynw saying something about that being very difficult to write, KK... I can only imagine
[17:04] <Barticus> Javan will always be my favorite haldane
[17:04] <Shiral> I was also sad for Rhys Michael, because he had redeemed himself for me in Bastard Prince
[17:04] <Barticus> he had a lot of potential
[17:04] <KK> Kiri, you mean Linda's thesis?
[17:04] <Shiral> And he started the ball rolling that crushed the regents
[17:04] <Kiri`> KK - yes
[17:04] <Lady_Marian> n gb,ln,.m.  (Rhys hitting the keyboard...)
[17:04] <KK> Yes.
[17:04] <KK> I have a copy here.
[17:04] <Barticus> Rhys Michael cry baby brown nose
[17:04] <Kiri`> i admit to being surprised.   what's the premise?
[17:04] <jm> Rhys Michael finally had promise only to be snuffed out as a result of a fluke
[17:05] <jm> With regents help
[17:05] <KK> LOL, I don't really remember now.  It's been a while. But write and ask her.
[17:05] <Mistyck> a fluke that regents wouldn't help cure with tried and true medicines because they were "deryni"
[17:05] <KK> Something to do with good and evil, I think.
[17:05] <Kiri`> KK - as soon as i have my address book back.. ;)
[17:05] <Shiral> I spent much of KJY wanting to slap Rhys Michael upside the head

[17:06] <jm> Bye Bart
[17:06] * Barticus waves as he steps into the crop circles and is gone
[17:06] <Lady_Marian> Besides, Rhys Michael Crumb sounds better than Javan Crumb!

[17:07] <Kelos_al-Hazar> Duck incoming.
[17:07] <KK> Only plans are to have a nice dinner in, and probably watch old movies until midnight has come and gone.
[17:07] *** duck has joined #Deryni_Destinations

[17:08] <Kiri`> hug i mena
[17:08] <Kiri`> have a good time.. =)
[17:08] <KK> In any case, I'll see you all next week, same Bat-Time, Same Bat-Station.
[17:08] <Shiral> Kiri, you've got to splurge on good rented fingers
[17:08] * Mistyck is planning to going to see TT on New Year's Eve
[17:08] <jm> Bye Katherine
[17:08] <Kiri`> BATS!!!!!  *flees*
[17:08] <Shiral> Don't get driven "bats" Katherine <G>
[17:08] * Martine starts jamming out the batman theme on her keyboard
[17:09] <KK> We haven't had a bat in the house since our dear Sophie cat died.
[17:09] <Mistyck> g'nite Katherine
[17:09] <kirienne> I will spend New Year's eve curled up , lounging on my bed eating snackies and watching the extended LOTR
[17:09] <KK> She used to bring them in alive and let them loose to fly around in the Great Hall.
[17:09] <Martine> Really? <laugh>
[17:09] * Kelos_al-Hazar plans on annoying his Dad to see if we can go to TT before my free ticket goes out.
[17:09] <KK> Yep.
[17:09] <Shiral> Now you just use "bat-away"
[17:09] <sparkles> Don't put the batman theme in my head!  I used to jump off my bed with a towel cape to that
[17:09] <Martine> How do you thank a cat for THAT gift?
[17:09] <jm> New Year's Eve is my Birthday so will figure out something fun to do
[17:09] <KK> Most of the time, we managed to rescue them and hoosh them out a window.
[17:10] <Mistyck> a bat loving cat...that's neat
[17:10] <Martine> John says Holybrooke is a castle - she must have thought it needed bats!
[17:10] <jm> Watching old movies and torturing my children with them is fun
[17:10] <KK> There are far worse ways to spend New year's Eve than watching TT.
[17:10] <Kelos_al-Hazar> Better the Batman theme than the Civil Defence "Emergency Broadcasting System" test tone!
[17:10] <VirtualBabe> True
[17:10] <Tika> most certainly :)
[17:10] <Shiral> Never spend New Year's eve with someone who plans to go count birds at dawn on NY day
[17:10] <Tika> I may do it again!
[17:10] <jm> yuck
[17:11] <Kiri`> giggles
[17:11] <KK> OK, I'm really going this time.  :-)  Good night, all.
[17:11] <Kiri`> night!
[17:11] <sparkles> Katherine, will we see more or Kevin and Bronwen in the next book?
[17:11] <Shiral> They go to bed at NINE p.m. talk about boring companions
[17:11] <Mistyck> nite Katherine
[17:11] <RainTurtle> be well
[17:11] <Martine> Night, Katherine!
