Happy Birthday, DR!! Hope you had a GREAT day! Loved the cake, Laurna.

Your birthday was good luck for me! We are getting an 18 mo old male Rhodesian Ridgeback from RR Rescue. I'm picking Quanah up on Sunday! Yay! Hope this cold is gone by then.

Yep, we did! We are picking him up Sunday in Buffalo, TX (on Hwy 79 by IH 45.) Today going to the doc to try to keep this cold under control and not let it become pneumonia.

A new Puppy that is wonderful. Welcome a new member to your family.
May your horses have wings and fly!

Yes, do take care of that cold.  I had pneumonia in late September into early October, and yea verily is it made of great suck!

Thank you, @Jerusha !  Because the restaurant where I want to go for my birthday supper isn't open on Sundays, we're doing the birthday supper tomorrow, but Mom is baking the cake today (a recipe from America's Test Kitchen called Tunnel of Fudge cake; it's a bundt cake that, owing to interesting baking chemistry, has a soft fudge-y center surrounded by rich chocolate cake, and it is yummy!).

So today (right now, in fact), I am off to the YMCA for a birthday swim, and then I'll be in chat.  :)

Happy birthday, DR. Hope you have a lovely day and that the fun extends  into tomorrow with your birthday dinner and even further in the week. You should consider the practice of a good friend of mine who celebrates his birthday throughout the entire month in which it falls. Sounds like a plan to me. Lots of lunches and visits with various friends and family.  Enjoy your 365( or 366)day trip around the sun.
