Hi all,

I, like you all, am a huge fan of KK's books. I discovered the Deryni and Camber on the first floor of the Milwaukee Public Library (which was across the street from my middle school), somewhere around age 11.

My copies of the Camber books were so worn (and had survived years of moves through high school, college, years in the USAF, and now in California) that I've replaced them. Once with paper versions and now in my iPad. The same for the latter books, but you can also add the audio versions too.

I am currently listening to KKB as I commute to the campuses on which I serve as an adjunct professor. A longtime fan of KK, fanfic, and a fanfic scholar, I stumbled upon this site and am tickled to find others of like mind.

It's nice to "meet" you all.

No more turning away
From the coldness inside
Just a world that we all must share
It's not enough just to stand and stare
Is it only a dream that there'll be
No more turning away?

Welcome to the boards, Polrobin!

Glad to see you here!  What subject(s) do you teach?

Welcome!  Having fun is why we are all here!
We will never forget the events of 9-11!!  USA!! USA!!

First off, welcome to the board, Polrobin.

Secondly, I shifted this to Off-Topic because it is basically personal.

Again, welcome, and happy chatting/discussing/general board patronage.
"If having a soul means being able to feel love, loyalty, and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans."

James Herriot (James Alfred "Alfie" Wight), when a human client asked him if animals have souls.  (I don't remember in which book the story originally appeared.)

Nice to welcome you, Polrobin!  Copies of the Deryni books followed many of my own USAF moves, too!
From ghoulies and ghosties and long-leggity beasties and things that go bump in the night...good Lord deliver us!

Sooo...having peeked at an SG-1 story or three of yours on FFN, can I eventually hope for some additions to our Deryni Fanfic board here from you (she begs with a winsome smile and much eye-fluttering)?   ;)

Oops, sorry for posting in the wrong spot. I saw one other intro post here and thought...ah well. Live and learn.

I'm having fun procratinating...er, I mean, taking a break from lesson planning and wandering through the boards.

Evie

Yeah, I think I posted my own Intro thread in the General Deryni section ages ago, although mine also contained a request for fact-checking and beta-reading for my first Deryni fanfic story, since it had been years since I'd read print copies of the books and I didn't have them all anymore, so maybe that's how it got to stay in that section.
