[18:14] <Evie> Hi, KK
[18:14] * jemler ducks!
[18:14] <the_Bee> HI KK!
[18:14] <KK> Hi, guys.
[18:14] <jemler> hi kk
[18:14] <Shiral> Hello KK
[18:14] <Jerusha> Hi KK!
[18:14] <jojo> Howdy KK!
[18:14] <Evie> I just finished posting an update on the rerooting a few seconds ago.
[18:14] <derynifanatic64> hi KK
[18:14] * Shiral puts out some fresh iced tea and shortbread
[18:14] <KK> Just checking the threads and found out about the amazing castle!
[18:15] <Evie> LOL!  Yeah, that was an accidental find
[18:15] <Evie> http://www.rhemuthcastle.com/index.php?topic=862.0, Bee.
[18:15] <derynifanatic64> evie--did I see DH in the background in one of the pictures
[18:15] <Evie> if that doesn't work, take off the final comma
[18:15] <Evie> it wasn't meant to be added to the link
[18:15] <Evie> yes, DF
[18:15] <Evie> that was him coming to tell me he needed to use his computer so I needed to pick up my toys from the table. ;-)
[18:16] <KK> I wonder if you could builod a suitable base for the smaller one, and then attach it to the side of the big one--or are the scales too different?
[18:16] <jemler> is that Harry Potter?
[18:16] <the_Bee> The link worked, Evie.  Thanks.
[18:16] <Evie> On the little castles?  Oh, they're roughly the same, but I prefer the tower as a standalone so i can still fold up the larger castle to put it away
[18:17] <Jerusha> It would make a good gatehouse on the perimiter.
[18:17] <Jerusha> Perimeter.
[18:17] <Evie> they're not really scale-accurate anyway...the windows are way too high for a LEGO but the rooms are very small even for LEGO scale. But they'll be fun to decorate anyway
[18:17] <Evie> yes, I thought it might be a guard tower outside the drawbridge or something
[18:18] <KK> Did ou manage to get the doorways on the little tower enlarged?  It occurs to me that, if you don't have one, a Dremmel tool might be extremely useful.
[18:18] <Shiral> I sold a Chateau this week
[18:18] <Evie> My DH has a dremel tool, I'm pretty sure.
[18:18] <Evie> ooh, cool, Shiral!
[18:18] <Jerusha> *Jerusha pictures lovely tapestries on the walls*
[18:18] <Shiral> We can't have Alaric getting stuck when he comes to visit his cousin!
[18:18] <KK> Useful for grinding the doorways bigger.
[18:18] <Evie> a French chateau?
[18:18] <Shiral> Mais oui
[18:19] <KK> Congrats, Shiral!
[18:19] <Jerusha> Nice, Shirel!
[18:19] <Shiral> Maybe I should make a tiny Brooklyn Bridge for laughs.
[18:19] <Evie> I may find a suitable tapestry picture online and print it out on the quilters fabric
[18:19] <derynifanatic64> :D
[18:19] <Shiral> I only have to sell 5,000 more and then I can buy a human size condo. =o)
[18:19] <Evie> LOL
[18:19] <Evie> better get to work then
[18:19] <Shiral> No kidding
[18:20] <KK> Sounds like a plan.  Printing on fabric is awesome.
[18:20] <Shiral> Cool, Evie. Duncan must have a suitable address, after all
[18:20] <jemler> how about 'Your Excellency'?
[18:20] <Evie> I began to cut out little rectangles of foam core board today and splitting them in half through the foam to make rough textured castle blocks for the small tower.
[18:21] * Shiral gives KK a sundae and wonders if Brion and Alaric are still in Llannedd
[18:21] <Evie> LOL, jemler
[18:21] * Camber (~Mibbit@1AB00B.9A315F.0AB538.E14453) has joined #deryni_destinations
[18:21] <the_Bee> Hi Camber
[18:21] <Evie> yes, where are our handsome young lads this week, KK?
[18:21] <derynifanatic64> hi camber
[18:21] <jemler> hi camber
[18:21] <Jerusha> Hi Camber
[18:21] <Camber> Hello everyone!
[18:22] <jojo> Hi camber
[18:22] * Evie waves at Camber
[18:22] <KK> I've backtracked slightly to write Llion and Alazais's wedding.
[18:23] <Jerusha> How old was Alaric at the time?
[18:23] <Camber> Almost missed this 'cause I was out enjoying the beautiful day
[18:24] <Evie> When you write, do you tend to outline first, or do you have a less linear way of story plotting, or does it just evolve more or less organically?
[18:24] <Camber> Excellent question Evie!
[18:24] <KK> It takes place on his 10th birthday, at Morganhall.
[18:24] <Jerusha> Does he give the bride away?
[18:24] <KK> Yes, he does.  And the king is prsent.
[18:25] <Evie> I ask because I can't outline to save my life, although I admire folks who can.  My stories evolve, although I usually know the end goal beforehand.
[18:25] <Shiral> My goodness, Llion comes up in the world!
[18:25] <KK> I write from a general outline, but divert if a better way occur to me of handling a particular part of hte storyline.
[18:25] <Evie> I'll bet a 10 year old Alaric is adorable. :D
[18:25] <Jerusha> Precociously handsome
[18:25] <Shiral> My outline STARTS as an outline, then it gets more and more involved until it turns into the story.=o)
[18:25] <KK> Of course, he's a mature 10.
[18:26] <Evie> yes, he would be with what he's gone through by that age
[18:26] <Jerusha> Does he ever have a chance to still be a young boy?
[18:27] <Camber> Outlining is a skill Shiral.  Maybe try outlining stories you've already written to find a style that you like.
[18:27] <jemler> only when he breaks his arm!
[18:27] <Camber> Then you can start using it on stories you're drafting.
[18:27] <Evie> probably when he's getting into mischief with Cousin Duncan during occasional visits, I'm guessing, Jerusha. :D
[18:27] <Evie> I can notecard, but that's the closest I get to outlining
[18:27] <derynifanatic64> more than likely
[18:27] <Shiral> I gave up on outlining a while ago, Camber. Although by the time I start writing, I already have a pretty well formed story in my head
[18:27] <Jerusha> I certainly hope so!
[18:28] <Camber> That's a good start
[18:28] <Shiral> I'm a jump in with both feet kinda girl
[18:28] <KK> He has some friends at court too.  And a roommate for a year or so.
[18:28] <Camber> I think the point is to have and idea of what you want to write, regardless of the form
[18:28] <Evie> and I'm a "Let the voices tell me what they do next" sort of writer.  When I outline, I write wooden plots with cardboard characters, so I stopped doing that and just let the characters dictate and come to life for me.
[18:28] <Shiral> Some stories flow, others fight to the death
[18:29] <Jerusha> I outlined my first story, hated it, and just wrote something else.
[18:29] <Camber> I know about that.  When I write I only put down my ideas of what I think the characters will do and then I let them figure out the details.
[18:30] <jemler> when i do what the voices tell me to, i get in trouble! :)
[18:30] <Evie> Now I just jot down a few sentences of what I think the characters will do, and if I'm very lucky, they'll do 3 out of every 10 of those things. ;-)
[18:30] <Camber> Well Jem, do do have to exercise some control.
[18:30] <Camber> do do = you do
[18:30] <Evie> but their ideas are usually better than mine anyway, so the voices usually win. :D
[18:30] <Jerusha> Do the voices bring their own fish?
[18:31] <KK> Maybe we aren't using the same terminology. When I say "outline," I'm actually referring to a present-tense narrative.
[18:31] <Evie> ah.  Yes, that might work slightly better for me.  Slightly.  :D
[18:32] <Camber> a shield materializes near Camber's hand to deflect flying fish :-)
[18:32] <Evie> I finally found a book on writing by a guy whose mind works like mine does, and it reassured me that I wasn't utterly mad.  Just my usual garden-variety quirky.  :D
[18:33] <KK> What book?
[18:33] <Evie> But I'm about as right-brained as it gets, so I guess I shouldn't worry about having an utterly right-brained writing style also.
[18:33] <Evie> hang on, let me find the title....
[18:34] <Jerusha> So being right-brained would be?
[18:34] <Camber> Right-brained is a good thing.  Especialmente para zurdos como nosotros.
[18:34] <KK> I always recommend The Art of Dramatic Writing, by Lajos Egri.  The tri-dimensional bone structure works very well for defining characters, and those in turn suggest plot permutations.
[18:34] <the_Bee> Are you left-handed, Evie?
[18:34] <Camber> Sorry, my child asked me a question in Spanish and I just continued on...
[18:35] <Camber> It means, especially for lefties like us.
[18:35] <the_Bee> me too
[18:35] <Evie> The 90-Day Novel: Unlock the Story Within.  (Title is a bit misleading--that's more like 90 days from no idea to having a full fledged story concept and possibly a draft or partial draft IF you are steadily writing in that time period.)
[18:35] <Evie> I'm not, Bee
[18:35] <derynifanatic64> i'm right handed
[18:37] <Evie> Left-brained thinking is linear, organized thinking, Jerusha, and the right-brain tends to be more global-oriented and creative.  We all use both sides to some extent, but strong right brainers have to organize in different ways from the usual (and more socially accepted) left brained ways of thinking and organizing
[18:37] <Shiral> I can guarantee you now--I'm NOT left-brained! =o)
[18:37] <Camber> Usually, right-brainers are lefties, sorry for the assumption Evie; too bad though.  I like you anyway even if you aren't one.
[18:37] <Jerusha> I'm hopelessly left-brained, then.  *Sigh*
[18:37] <Evie> For instance, I can use file folders for storing documents because I must do so at work, but that's not natural for my brain.  My brain prefers cubbyholes and horizontal sorting.
[18:38] <Evie> LOL, Camber
[18:38] <Shiral> Mine is "Which stack won't fall over if I put this there?"
[18:38] <jemler> i pick on my sister by calling her a 'left-handed blonde'! :D
[18:38] <Jerusha> I have a database built around the contents of my freezer.
[18:38] <Camber> Just remember that blonde is in her right mind!
[18:38] <Shiral> I think there's a coffee-table under the mess, but no guarantees
[18:39] <Evie> Yes.  There's a reason why highly creative types often have messy desks, unless they've learrned an organizational style that is more right-brained and works for them.
[18:39] <Evie> messy desks, rooms, etc.
[18:39] <Camber> talk about an oxymoron! Camber hefts shield to deflect fish!
[18:39] <jemler> 'I smiling because you're my sister. And laughing because there is nothing you can do about it!'
[18:39] <derynifanatic64> ;)
[18:40] <Evie> I saw a cartoon about "the ideal right-brained organized room" and had to laugh.  No closet doors, just a wall of cubbyholes and a wall of pegs and some chairs to drape jackets and blouses over. :D
[18:40] <jojo> I'm a little of both... and somewhat ambidexterous...;)
[18:40] <Camber> I can be very left brained when I need to but I prefer not to be.  I have an excellent visual memory.
[18:41] <jemler> a topless cubby-hole? all right! :D
[18:41] <the_Bee> My cubbyholes are boxes scattered all over myapartment.
[18:41] <Jerusha> Jemler!
[18:41] <jemler> LOL
[18:41] <Evie> But I'm the same way with writing.  I can't follow the "rules" taught in school on the "right' way to write.  I have to go with the flow and let the story lead me, although I usually know a few key bits ahead of time.
[18:41] <Camber> Topless cubbies are called shelves. Jerusha
[18:41] <Jerusha> I'm also ambidexterous, which usually results in confusion.
[18:42] <Evie> well, no, a topless cubby is an orange crate. ;-)
[18:42] <Shiral> A messy desk is the sign of genius!
[18:42] <KK> Yes!
[18:42] <Evie> I'm Einstein then. :D
[18:42] <Shiral> I still have that big Clothes Peg, KK =o) But darned if I can find it!
[18:42] <jojo> I start organizing one way and that gives way to a more organic form...
[18:42] <jemler> compared to me, einstein must be a moron
[18:42] <Camber> I should be in the Einstein level too.
[18:43] <Evie> I can't even keep my dining table clear for over three days. It becomes crafts space or a work desk or something.
[18:43] <Shiral>  I have little piles of paper scraps all over the place
[18:43] <jojo> I have three messy desks...
[18:43] <Camber> Life is like a box of chocolates Jem,
[18:43] <Shiral> We must have been separated at birth, Evie
[18:43] <Evie> :D
[18:43] <KK> I, too, work from piles of papers.
[18:43] <Evie> yes, and there's a key word...piles.  Not neatly filed vertical-stored papers.
[18:44] <the_Bee> When I need t find something I just root through the mess til I find it, then leave evrything else just as messy.
[18:44] <Shiral> My mother was over yesterday and It took me a good five minutes to clear my diningroom table so we could both eat lunch!
[18:44] <derynifanatic64> i'm signing off--some big thunderstorm will be hitting my area in the next 45 minutes
[18:44] <the_Bee> take caare, DF.  Glad you came.
[18:44] <Camber> The worst thing anyone could do to me is pick up.  I know where I last saw an object, paper book, what ever.  If you move anything without telling me it's all over but the crying
[18:44] <Evie> I can know exactly where something is in a pile, but if it's in a file in my file drawer, I have to flip through it several times to find it.  And half the time I put it on my desk and open it, which means it's a horizontal pile within a folder. :D
[18:44] <Camber> Stake care DF!
[18:45] <derynifanatic64> see everyone next week on Father's Day!!
[18:45] <jemler> bye df
[18:45] <Evie> see you, DF
[18:45] * derynifanatic64 (Mibbit@F8E647.70AEDE.F99969.D437C6) Quit ( Quit: http://www.mibbit.com ajax IRC Client )
[18:45] <Jerusha> Take care, DF!
[18:45] <jojo> have a good week DF1
[18:45] <Camber> I visualize where things are so if it's in a file, as ling as I've seen it, I can find it.
[18:45] <Jerusha> I suddenly feel like I have to sign up for "organizational anonymous"!
[18:45] <Evie> that's right, next week is Father's Day.  I think my dad is giving himself the gift of a granddaughter going home with him and Mom for the summer.
[18:46] <Camber> I also very rarely get lost.
[18:46] <the_Bee> My dad's been dead 19 years.
[18:46] <jemler> same here. sometimes i don't nkow where i am, but i'm never lost
[18:47] <Camber> That's sad Bee.  I lost mine 31 years ago.
[18:47] <jemler> mine was 16 years ago.
[18:47] <the_Bee> If he were alive he'd be 107 years old.
[18:47] <Camber> Jem I think for you thats a male trait, not the same
[18:47] <Evie> http://www.amazon.com/Organizing-Right-Side-Brain-Organized/dp/0312318162/ref=pd_bxgy_b_text_c/186-1905927-5748436  That helped me a lot
[18:47] <Evie> I think this is the right book, anyway, although the cover is different
[18:48] <the_Bee> Yes, men are supposed to be better at spatial orientation.
[18:48] <Jerusha> The "right" book?
[18:48] <Camber> My dad would have been 96.
[18:48] <KK> My dad is 87 & still going strong.
[18:48] <Jerusha> My dad is 93 and still doing well.
[18:49] <Camber> Drives my wife nuts.  Even if I am in unfamiliar surroundings I can get back to where we're supposed to be, without having to ask for directions.
[18:49] <jemler> so she just tells you where/when to turn. :)
[18:49] <Evie> My husband can do that, at least if he's been someplace once before, even if it was years earlier
[18:49] <Camber> She'll be telling me to pull into the next gastation and ask and it's like"but if you go down here and turn there we should be right and it usually is.
[18:50] <KK> That's a gift.
[18:51] <Evie> The kitteh inspectors are here to make sure my chat is going according to specs. :D
[18:51] <the_Bee> I've gotten lost in the city just by walking on the opposite side of the street from my usual route.
[18:51] <Camber> It's a nice gift to have, fer sure!
[18:51] <Jerusha> I have no sense of direction whatsoever.
[18:52] <jojo> As long as it's not cloudy, I do ok.
[18:52] <Evie> it helps to be able to see where the sun is
[18:52] <the_Bee> I navigate by landmarks when learning my way around a new neighborhood.
[18:52] <Shiral> I can find my way around by identifying landmarks like  "The house with the geraniums on the steps" or  "the shop with the mannequin in the window"
[18:53] <jojo> Unfortunately, my inner "map" gets stuck in time... esp if I'm in a part of Houston I used to be in as a child/teen
[18:53] <Camber> It does, but doesn't usually matter if it's overcast or not.  That's a good method Shiral
[18:53] <Shiral> My mother drove me crazy in France last summer; she never WOULD believe me when I told her I knew how to get back to the hotel and would stand there fussing with maps
[18:53] <Evie> I had a friend who used to do pizza delivery, and he knew a pizza was going to a really rural address when he was told, after a series of directions that led increasingly out of town, "Turn left at the field with the sleeping cows." :D
[18:53] <the_Bee> "If this building is on my left and that one's on my right, I'm heading in the right direction."
[18:53] <jemler> just remember, all roads lead home
[18:54] <Shiral> What happens if the cows wake up?? =o)
[18:54] <jojo> I got totally lost in Louisiana when the road signs lacked the direction
[18:54] <jemler> folow the road, you'll come out somewhere
[18:54] <Evie> I wondered that too, Shiral, but apparently when he followed the directions, they were spot-on, including the field with sleeping cows. :D
[18:55] <jojo> went down some narrow roads following languid bayous  ... one lane.
[18:55] <Camber> Probably had a nother landmark where the cow was
[18:55] <Shiral> So the cows got a nap and the customer got pizza--everyone is happy
[18:56] <jemler> play Settlers of Catan. a road has to start and end aomewhere. The Ransom of Red Chief, a road can go both ways
[18:56] <Shiral> Eeps, sorry all
[18:56] <Shiral> I have to go be a good employee, again
[18:56] <Evie> bye Shiral
[18:56] <jemler> back to work, shiral
[18:56] <the_Bee> we'll miss you.
[18:56] <jemler> good night
[18:56] <jojo> bye
[18:56] <Jerusha> Bye Shiral
[18:57] <Camber> G'night
[18:57] <Evie> Oh yay, just got an alert that Richenda's duchess tiara has been shipped
[18:57] <KK> Bye, Shiral.
[18:57] <Jerusha> Cool
[18:57] <KK> What does it look like?
[18:57] * Shiral steps onto her portal, waves farewell and disappears in a cloud of blue steam, but wonders how SHE can get a ducal tiara on her way out
[18:57] <Evie> I ordered a tiara on eBay for her.  If I can figure out how it's made, I might make more
[18:57] <Shiral> Bye KK et al. Next week, I might be able to talk openly
[18:57] <Shiral> Toodle-oo
[18:57] <Camber> Gotta go too, the Queen's page has announced dinner
[18:58] * Shiral (Mibbit@504018.A7BCBA.6044E5.E2E484) Quit ( Quit: http://www.mibbit.com ajax IRC Client )
[18:58] <Evie> let me log on to ebay and I'll see if I can find a pic
[18:58] <jemler> nite camber
[18:58] <Jerusha> Bye Camber
[18:58] <the_Bee> nighters camber
[18:58] <jojo> bye, Camber
[18:58] <KK> Did you look at the tiaras on that doll site I told you about?
[18:58] <Evie> I did!
[18:58] <jemler> evie, could you use tinsel or something and starch it or something
[18:58] <KK> You could make those!
[18:58] <Camber> Camber steps onto his portal and disappears in a cloud of emerald green, lilac scented sparkles!
[18:59] * Camber (~Mibbit@1AB00B.9A315F.0AB538.E14453) Quit ( Quit: http://www.mibbit.com ajax IRC Client )

[19:00] <Evie> I got the one with dark green ("emerald") stones
[19:00] <Jerusha> Nice
[19:00] <Evie> this seller also makes some nice diamond and pearl looking coronets, so if I ever get an Araxie, I'll know where to find a crown for her.
[19:01] <jojo> Anyone else watching the Tony Awards tonight?
[19:01] <the_Bee> not I
[19:01] <Evie> I figured I'd get green to match her beaded gown, but I really like the sapphire one too.
[19:01] <Evie> don't have TV
[19:01] <Evie> not live TV anyway. I'm watching Stargate SG-1 on DVD at the moment
[19:02] <Evie> Or not-watching it, that is. :D
[19:02] <jojo> My mom (92) is a drama fan... so I'll bid you all a good night and a great week ahead!
[19:02] <the_Bee> bye jojo
[19:02] <Jerusha> Bye jojo
[19:02] <jojo> Bye all!
[19:02] <Evie> bye
[19:03] <KK> What number is it?  I see black, clear, blue, and blue on the coronets.
[19:03] * jojo (Mibbit@OWIRCN-41ace02d.tx.comcast.net) Quit ( Quit: http://www.mibbit.com ajax IRC Client )
[19:03] <Evie> the emerald green one
[19:03] <Evie> if you scroll down from the first row of pics you'll see more
[19:03] <jemler> bye jojo
[19:03] <Evie> I think it's the last photo in the set
[19:04] <KK> Cool.  She makes good ones.
[19:05] <Evie> If you look at the seller's other items, she's got other styles for sale also
[19:05] <KK> THey look a lot like the ones in that royalty doll site.
[19:05] <Evie> yes
[19:07] <Evie> http://www.ebay.com/itm/OOAK-Fairy-Barbie-Crown-Tiara-Birthstone-U-Pick-Color-/330429012244?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4cef1a9914
[19:07] <Evie> I rather like this one also
[19:08] <Evie> and it looks like it's available in Haldane Crimson. ;-)
[19:08] <KK> Oh, wow!  Those are even better!
[19:08] <Evie> I'll add it to my watch list
[19:09] <Evie> I might be able to get one, depending on how my budget looks once I tot up the numbers. I just spent over $130 on the kittehs thanks to Luke bringing home some fleas on his last great escape to the outdoors.
[19:10] <Evie> so there went most of my crafts money
[19:10] <KK> Oh, no!  Don't they get flea drops at the backs of their necks?
[19:10] <the_Bee> Live critters take precedence over pretend beings.
[19:11] <Evie> and those Advantage drops better work, given that I had to get two separate boxes because their weights are too far apart for me to turn a "Six month supply" box into three months of drops for two cats
[19:11] <Evie> I had some other (cheaper) brand of drops, but they didn't work
[19:12] <Evie> and the other time I had this problem, the only thing that nipped it in the bud was Advantage (Advantix? Something like that), so that's what I got this time
[19:12] <KK> I just ordered up the flea treatments for cats and dogs--nearly $500 to get them through well into the fall.
[19:12] <KK> Advantage Plus is what we use.
[19:12] <Evie> Yes, I think that's what this was. Something over $60 per box
[19:12] <Evie> and we had to get two boxes because Gigi is under 9 lbs and Luke is over 9 lbs
[19:12] <Jerusha> We use Program for our three dogs, but somehow we got out of sequence and always have one pill left at the end of a box.
[19:12] <KK> You do know about ordering then online, DOn't you?
[19:12] <Evie> and the dosage is based on weight
[19:13] <KK> I think it's the same for all cats.  Dogs have weight ranges.
[19:13] <Evie> I do know, but I couldn't wait for them to come in since I need the drops now
[19:13] <KK> True.  So you were stuck with getting them from the vet.
[19:13] <Evie> Depends on the med.  Frontline and Sentry aren't weight dependent, but Advantage is
[19:14] <Evie> I was tempted to get the less expensive ones, but that's what landed me in this fix to start with
[19:14] <Evie> Since the cheaper brand one I had on hand, which I gave them both first  off as a preventative when Luke first got out, didn't prevent diddly-squat.
[19:15] <KK> We get Frontline Plus for the cats and Advantix for the dogs.  (Dogs are by weight; cats are not.)
[19:15] <the_Bee> So far, Melantha hasn't had a flea problem.  I had the vet check her once.
[19:15] <Evie> OK, this might be something else starting with "A" then, because it has specific weight ranges on the box, but the vet said it was the very best product they carried for cats.
[19:16] <Evie> there was also a fast acting pill for dogs, but not available for cats
[19:16] <Evie> and I'd prefer drops anyway
[19:16] <the_Bee> Domestic cats don't come in as wide a variety of sizes as dogs.
[19:16] <Evie> giving pills to cats is not my idea of fun. :D
[19:16] <KK> No.
[19:17] <Evie> Pixie is hard enough to give pills to, though we've discovered Pill Pockets, so that has helped
[19:17] <KK> When Gus had his last scratch infection, we got him a shot that's good for 10 days--in other words, takes care of the infection.  And no plls.
[19:17] <KK> One pill is not that bad.  But if you have to give more than one at a time....
[19:17] <Jerusha> I wrap the pills in cheese.  It's never a problem!
[19:18] <Evie> when Pixie wandered off, he got into a scrape with something and came back with lacerations.  That one needed a shot and an antibiotic course of pills.
[19:18] <Evie> twice a day for 10 days
[19:18] <Evie> we used all our Pill Pockets and ended up slitting hot dog pieces. :D
[19:19] <KK> Both.  Yike.
[19:19] <Evie> Luke and Gigi are clever enough to eat the "gift wrap" and leave the pill
[19:19] <KK> Pill pockets dont' work on the cats, though.  THey try to chew them, then taste the pill and spit it out.
[19:19] <Evie> 8d
[19:20] <Evie> sorry. Luke paw.
[19:20] <Evie> he had to share his opinion.
[19:20] <the_Bee> Is that his shoe size?
[19:20] <Evie> I never know. It's an encrypted message to his mothership, I think.
[19:21] <Evie> I'm convinced that cats are really aliens studying us and reporting their findings to the mothership. ;-)
[19:21] <Evie> It would explain some of their odd behavior
[19:22] <KK> Try budgetPetCare.com next time you need flea meds.  Same breand, but they come out of Canada and are cheaper.
[19:22] <Evie> ok, I'll look into that when it's time to reorder
[19:23] <Evie> KK, did you check the Action Figure thread since I posted the rerooting update with Kelson's braid?

[19:23] <jemler> bye annie
[19:23] <Jerusha> Bye Annie!
[19:23] <the_Bee> It must be Annie's bedtime.
[19:23] <Evie> yes, well past it, actually.
[19:24] <Evie> I wonder if she nodded off over the laptop again? :D
[19:24] <Jerusha> isn't it mid -morning there by now?
[19:25] <KK> Re braid--I think you'd have better luck just rerooting the back, so that the skinnier braid emerges from under the shorter hair.
[19:25] <the_Bee> !:24 a.am.
[19:25] <the_Bee> i:24
[19:25] <the_Bee> 1:24
[19:26] <jemler> time flies
[19:26] <Evie> True, and if I keep the head I have now, I could do it that way.
[19:26] <Evie> Once I have a smaller needle
[19:27] <Evie> and assuming i can manage to remove the hair just from the rear rows of hair plugs, which isn't a given
[19:27] <Evie> aiming for the right holes from inside the scalp might be tricky
[19:28] <KK> It's worth trying on the test head--once  you get the smaller needle.
[19:28] <Evie> That also means that doing a Dhugal from scratch would involve cutting and styling the front, which I don't know how well I'd do
[19:29] <KK> Don't you have a Dhugal head with short hair?  Or were you going to have to reroot a whole head for him?
[19:29] * bynw waves hi to everyone
[19:29] <KK> Hi, Bynw.
[19:29] <Jerusha> Hi bynw!
[19:30] <Evie> I was going to reroot a whole head, since the current Dhugal head is the Viking action figure with molded hair, and I haven't bought the Tim McGraw figure i was looking at for a replacement Dhugal yet.
[19:30] * the_Bee waves back at bynw.
[19:30] <Evie> and he's got brown hair
[19:30] <Evie> so he'd have to be rerooted if it's supposed to be red
[19:30] <jemler> hi bynw
[19:30] <KK> Ah, yes.  Well, you'd better do some practicing then, with the smaller tool.
[19:31] <KK> Gotta go.  Scott is making hungry noises.
[19:31] <Evie> I still want to use the Tim McGraw Ken head, but I don't want to ruin one, so I'll be practicing on some spares first
[19:31] <Evie> OK
[19:31] <jemler> nite kk
[19:31] <Jerusha> I must go to.  Hope everyone has a good week!
[19:31] * KK steps onto her Portal, waves goodnight, and disappears in a shower of green sparkles.
[19:31] <Evie> we'll buy Scott some Sunday night pizza coupons. ;-)
[19:31] <the_Bee> nighters KK have a good week.
[19:32] <KK> See you next week.
[19:32] <Evie> bye!
