18:31 < Evie> Action Duncan got some cope fabric yesterday that, if I'd needed to buy an entire yard instead of just a 12" length of it (but 60" wide), would have been nearly as expensive as Cloth of Gold.  *sigh*  My one big splurge; everything else was from the remnants bin.

18:31 < Alkari> It wasn't clear whether it started Sunday or Monday in USA
18:32 < Alkari> I know that they have about a 10 day delay getting it out here.
18:32 < Alkari> The thre4at of large scale piracy is actually forcing them to show many series almost contemporaneously with UK or USA
18:33 < Evie> Yes, Alkari, Annie, et al have been casting Alaric for you in your absence, so if you haven't seen Game of Thrones, you might want to have a peek.

18:40 < Evie> If only they have a Katniss action figure with articulated limbs and at the right scale, I'll give up on trying to customize one and just buy that.  Hair and  eye color look right (on screen at least) and it would be easier.

18:41 < Evie> I haven't read the books yet, but will probably go look for them now
18:41 < Alkari> And I haven't got around to seeing The Artis yet
18:41 < KK> I should probably get the other two books in the series as well, though I understand that they aren't as good as the first.

18:49 < KK> And Omar Sherif had one of the great first appearances, as he comes riding out of the mirage on his camel.  It was originally 2 or 3 times longre.

18:50 < jojo> Yes.. it had an intermission as did Dr. Zhivago and How the West Was Won... all three I got to see in Cinerama.
