Found cover art for new High Deryni on the Penguin website.  Be interesting to hear the comments.

well it says the book is about medieval events and people get killed.  but I have no idea what event is being portrayed or even who the two characters are in front, certainly not any characters I remember

are the art people at Penguin antideryni?  or is this payback for criticizing the CM covers?

Well. Maybe it's supposed to be Warin? Or maybe Alaric and Derry after the events at Edgair Dhu? Or maybe she should just hire my mom to do the art work. At least she would get a professional artist that would make herself familiar with the book and do what KATHERINE wants!!! As semi-generic medeval art goes, its not too bad. As far as Deryni art goes, well . . . .

I think the cover is supposed to represent Morgan healing Duncan after Waren skewers him.  The cover is a lot bloodier than what I pictured from reading the book.

Actually, I think the cover might be the scene in HD when Duke Jared's page arrives in Dhassa to warn Kelson that Bran Coris is a traitor and that Duke Jared has been taken prisoner.

But yes, there seems to be a lot of blood. Hope it looks better in person than it does on screen.

Hi folks, first post here, though I've been a longtime lurker on the IRC channel chats.  Thought I'd mention I was in my local Borders last night (Sterling, VA) and they had five copies of High Deryni on their stock cart, so I picked one up. Looks good. Can't wait to crack open the cover.
