Really enjoying book 1 of this series. How much time has passed since Orin and Jodotha passed and were buried in their tomb when Evaine, Joram, and Queron discovered them? Are we talking several hundred years or more like several thousand?

The Codex tells us that Orin was born on October 2, 604. And he Died on August 18, 675. Jodotha was born in the year 655. and she perished on October 16, 699. They were discovered by Evaine and Father Jorum on April 19, 918.

Orin was in the same era as the first Haldane King of Gwynedd. Augarin Haldane was born July 27, 611. And he proclaimed himself King of Gwynedd on May 1, 645. We don't really have an accounting of how Augarin was victorious over Bremagne, and then Lendour and Carthane. Yet, I suspect, it will have to do with Orin performing the first Ritual to bestow magic within the Haldane family line.

Oh!  I never thought of that. I have always wanted to read Orin & Jodotha's story, and now want to even more!
