[18:04]<jemler> no, i found the next episode on saturday. you better check to be sure. my tv guide says it is on, but the cable box says no
[18:05]<KK> But I did notice that today's paper was NOT listing it for tonight.  I wonder what goes?
[18:05]<KK> I fear that moving it to Saturday will kill it.  Not that it's doing that well....

[18:06]<the_Bee> I saw harper's Island.  I was kind of annoyed that they haven't even found the first body yet.
[18:07]<jemler> it's kind of hard to find the first body, he got chewed up by the prop of the boat!

[18:08]<KK> I saw the trailers, with the obvioiusly moving victim tied up to the prop and it starting to move, so the outcome was hardly in doubt, eh?
[18:09]<KK> Speaking of boats, isn't that great that they rescued that freighter captain off Somalia?  Good on the Navy!
[18:09]<Bynw> nothing on tv that i want to watch right now ... unless I was in the UK since I'm a fan of Doctor Who and Torchwood

[18:09]<the_Bee> R\True, but people's reacions to the murders is part of the story.  And I don't know how either victim 1 or 2 isconnected to the bride, the groom, or Abby.

[18:11]<jemler> they said she received 20,000 text msgs in a month. her dad smashed her phone with a hammer and grounded her until the end of school!

[18:12]<Temprus> should have had a phone with an unlimited plan :p
[18:12]<KK> Do you pay to receive texts as well as to send them?  (Goes to show how little I use texting.)

[18:12]<jemler> i talk faster than i type, so i don't text!
[18:12]<Temprus> bee, if I had a teenage daughter with a cell, she would be on an unlimited tesxting plan :p
[18:13]<Temprus> heck, most family plans cover all phones on it for $20 or so unlimited for all phones
[18:13]<jemler> but only if she spells the words correctly, none of the gibberish!

[18:13]<Bynw> kk, depends on the plan ... i use a prepaid cell phone so my texting both outgoing and incoming there is a charge, i could get unlimited texting but that would cost more and cant afford it just now

[18:14]<KK> We've got a lot of time, and it carries over--but neither of us texts much.
[18:14]<the_Bee> I have pay as you go.  Either I'm talking more than I realize, or the minutes expire too soon.
[18:15]<KK> I used to have a pre-pay in Ireland, that I'd top-up as needed.
[18:15]<jemler> KK, did you ever find thoe toasties or whatever they were?
[18:16]<KK> Here, we have both cells on the same account, and we don't have a land line except for the fax machine.  Even the internet connection is now on Comcast with the cable sub.
[18:16]<the_Bee> My landline is for Tivo only.
[18:16]<Bynw> my landline is Vonage
[18:16]<KK> Shreddies?  No, but we've found a very acceptable substitute in Kashi wheats, especially the cinnamon variety.

[18:23]<the_Bee> You said something last week about finding an old outline that was helpful.
[18:25]<KK> Yes.  And I got some unintentional inspiration this week from a local sadness.  One of our new tenants in our cottage passed away on Tuesday.

[18:27]<KK> I'd only just met him, and was looking forward to getting to know him.  Sadly, he slipped and fell in the kitchen, broke his hip, and just didn't wake up from the anesthesia; lingered for a week, then passed peacedully.  But he was 86, and had had an incredible life.
[18:28]<jemler> the peaceful part is good
[18:29]<KK> Yes, his wife said he'd been winding down for about the past year and a half; still sharp as a tack mentally, but physically more and more frail.
[18:29]<jemler> how's she doing?
[18:33]<KK> Peaceful and serene.  She'd known it was just a matter of time.  She's only in early 60's, so it was hardly a surprise.  And at least he didn't linger.

[18:42]<KK> It hasn't been too dark, thus far.
[18:43]<the_Bee> I have no idea what it's about, except a girl whose father is in debtors' prison.

[18:50]<KK> Well, Kings or no, I've got to go and make dinner for my lads.  Cameron is home for the weekend, and I'm going to do a nice bread pudding before he heads off in the AM, back to Atlanta.  He's got another 3 weeks of his contract.

[18:50]<KK> No news from Gwynedd.  Brion and Jared have ridden to a draw in the birthday tournament, and Alaric is about to get the prize for ring-tilting for his age-group.
[18:51]<KK> IT contract.
[18:51]<KK> Sorting out computer security.
[18:51]<Bynw> sounds like fun
[18:51]<Bynw> but then i'm a computer geek
[18:51]<jojo> Highly technical and useful to those of us in desktop support.
[18:51]<KK> He's enjoying the actual work, but doesn't like Atlanta particularly, and misses home.
[18:52]<Bynw> Atlanta is a nice city ... i have fond memories of it
[18:52]<jojo> That's the blessing of contract work..challenging then over..
[18:52]<KK> They've been putting in 14 hr. days, 7 days a week, for 3 weeks, and that's what he's going back to--and probably a trip to LA as well.
