[19:22]<KK> I actually saw a photo of this cat earlier today, in with a pink porpoise and othere unusual critters.  He's not only ugly, he's fat.  Almost deformed looking.

[19:23]<KK> Apparently so.  If he weren't nice, someone would have offed him years ago.

[19:24]<jemler> I was on the news once. they caught me walking down the hall in a hospital.
[19:24]<KK> I'm not fond of hairless cats.  They creep me out; don't look like proper cats.

[19:24]<KK> Mind you, I'd never hurt one; I just wouldn't choose to have one.

[19:26]<KK> In the summer, Sasha has a very  nearly bald tummy.  He licks it hairless; maybe has a grass allergy.  It grew back over the winter.  We'll see if he does it again.
[19:26]<the_Bee> Does he get big hairballs?
[19:27]<+Elim> Oh my.
[19:28]<KK> You know the phrase, Soft as a baby's bottom?  Well, that's sort of what they feel like.  This Bat cat is almost deformed, though, with a big, asymmetrical part of a mane hanging off one side ot its chest.
[19:28]<KK> Sasha has <very> short fur in the summer, so no, he doesn't get hairballs.
[19:29]<the_Bee> so how are the other fur folk?
[19:31]<KK> They're fine, though someone--we don't yet know who--has been spraying in the house.  Grrr!
[19:32]<the_Bee> aren't they all neutered/  I thought spraying was a tomcat thing.
[19:32]<the_Bee> I don't envy you the stench.
[19:32]<KK> They're all neutered, but they can still spray.  It's a territorial thing, and they're still sorting out the positions of the two new guys in the pecking order.

[19:33]<KK> Algernon and Penelope.
[19:33]<KK> Fortunately, neutered male cat pee is not as pungent as that of tom cats.

[19:39]<KK> I actually spent several hours making notes on the outline for the second draft of the DR script, and sent that off to the screenwriter.  (And got our tax figures off to the accountants--a <big> load off my mind.)  Am slated to get back actualy writing tomorrow.

So Baron Bruce tried to get an ok to conflict with some one in Atenveldt who registered a device in 1996 and then apparently disappeared from the scene. So you would think that THIRTEEN YEARS LATER, when she doesn't respond to attempts to contact her - that would constitute abandonment of the device. But nooooooooo.

[20:06]<KK> In real world law, when a person disappears for 7 years, you can have them declared legally dead.  Maybe the SCA needs a similar law.
