[19:15] * KK has joined #Deryni_Destinations
[19:15] <DeryniBot> Samuel welcomes KK to the chat with a bottle of
mead.
[19:15] <RainbowDragon> Hi KK!
[19:15] <KK> Ta-ta!
[19:15] <Bynw> KK!!!
[19:15] <Bynw> wb
[19:15] <KK> I got my DSL running last night, and I am back in the
world!
[19:15] <RainbowDragon> you are back online... hooray!
[19:15] <Bynw> sweeet!
[19:16] <RainbowDragon> how do you like the new place?
[19:16] <Kelric> KK!
[19:16] <Kelric> huzzah
[19:16] <Bynw> dont forget about the new forums at http://www.rhemuthcastle.com
where you can post to others and we can try to get them in here too
[19:16] <KK> Mind you, I'm still trying to figure out how to import
all my e-mail addresses into g-mail, so that I don't have to go
through IOL.  Any suggestions, Bynw?
[19:17] <Bynw> not off hand ... but i'll have to look at it and get
back to you on it
[19:17] <KK> New place is great!  We're even unpacking boxes (still),
and my built-in book cases for my office will be installed this week.
[19:17] <Kelric> I have no idea myself since I don't have a gmail
account myself.
[19:17] <KK> I still have to get the desk unit sorted, but for now I
have my old desk--or at least most of it.
[19:18] <Kelric> heh
[19:19] <KK> I also need to find out whether nTelos does e-mail
addresses that I can download through Outlook Express--though that is
banjaxed and won't print out e-mails, for some reason.  My computer
guru in Ireland couldn't figure out why....but at least everything
else works.
[19:19] <Kelric> man. that reminds me.  I have to go up to the house
in Geneva tomorrow and clear all my junk off the desk in the basement
since my parfents will arrive sometime on tuesday up there.
[19:19] <RainbowDragon> how are the animals adapting to the new place?
[19:20] <KK> Everyone seems happy.  Cats know where they live, as does
the dog.  All are happy and healthy.
[19:20] <RainbowDragon> good good!
[19:21] <KK> Nicholas, in particular, seems to have blossomed in his
new surroundings--though that may be partially because he's now top
cat, since we lost Edgar in January.
[19:21] <KK> Even Jessie is more sociable--though she still hates the
three amigos, and only likes Nicholas sometimes.
[19:22] <Bynw> kk, you are gonna love that high speed always on
connection :o)
[19:22] <RainbowDragon> Oh, here's an important question: now that you
are stateside, when will be the best time on Sundays to see you in
here?
[19:22] <Kelric> yes.  that is the most important question
[19:22] <KK> Yep.  I already love that it only took about 5 minutes to
download 3 months worth of Norton updates--the first thing I did when
I got connected!
[19:23] <KK> What's a good time for most of the regulars?  Not having
to deal with the 5 hour time difference is going to make things much
easier.
[19:23] <Bynw> much easier
[19:24] <Bynw> that was my next question. when do you want to be
here ... and scott needs a computer too so he can be here :-)
[19:25] <KK> I think he's getting a mac of some sort--Power Book, I
think.  That's one of the next things on our list of many things to
do.
[19:25] <RainbowDragon> you choose but I'd think any time between 5pm
to 7pm CST would be a good thing... if you want earlier, I'm sure
folks will accomodate you.
[19:25] <Bynw> cool
[19:25] <KK> So that would be 6-8 EST, right?
[19:25] <RainbowDragon> right
[19:25] <RainbowDragon> but if you want earlier just say so
[19:25] <KK> Sort of the same time as before.  Which is what folks
were used to, I guess.
[19:26] * Bynw has 2 computers ... an older windows xp one ... and the
other is an older emac with os x (10.4 tiger) on it
[19:26] <Bynw> that time is fairly the same time as it was before so
it should work fine
[19:27] <RainbowDragon> yep
[19:27] <KK> Is CST Canadian?
[19:27] <Bynw> central
[19:27] <RainbowDragon> central
[19:28] <KK> Then, it would be an hour later on the east coast, n'est-
ce pas?
[19:28] <RainbowDragon> yes
[19:28] <Bynw> right
[19:28] <KK> I'll aim at 6-ish, then.
[19:29] <RainbowDragon> sounds good!
[19:29] <Bynw> 6ish eastern would work that's 5pm central, 4pm
mountain and 3pm pacific
[19:29] <KK> That hits before the good Sunday night TV--if we had a
TV.  Actually, it's finally come in, so we hope to get it installed
this week.  Biiiig screen!
[19:29] <RainbowDragon> We are very happy to have you back with us!
{{{ HUG }}}
[19:29] <KK> Good to be back.
[19:30] <KK> You can spread the word.
[19:30] <RainbowDragon> *nods*
[19:30] <RainbowDragon> I'll definitely do that
[19:30] <Bynw> you can post your own "i'm back" notice to www.rhemuthcastle.com
(if you remember the password you made for it, if not it can be reset)
[19:30] <RainbowDragon> do you have a public e-mail for people to chat
with you?
[19:31] <Bynw> forums are good for public chat
[19:31] <KK> Haven't set foot in Rhemuthcastle.com, so I don't think I
have a password there.
[19:32] <KK> It's going to take me a little while to settle in.  Much
new techlology to master, that's different from Ireland.  (But we
nearly have our health insurance sorted.  :-)
[19:33] <Bynw> you logged in once in the last 3 months
[19:33] <RainbowDragon> technology is different in Ireland?
[19:33] <KK> Not as much of it.
[19:33] <RainbowDragon> ahhh
[19:34] <KK> And I didn't have DSL.
[19:34] <RainbowDragon> you are gonna love it! pages load much faster
[19:34] <KK> Must've been right before we left, 'cause this computer
went into storage around March 10-12--and I don't think I was even in
chat while we were down at the cottage.
[19:35] <Bynw> kk, you signed up on rhemuthcastle.com on March 6th
under the username of KK of course
[19:35] <RainbowDragon> Bynw, can you pm her, her password?
[19:36] <KK> OK.  Then I think I know what password I used.  I'll try
it--but not tonight.  Gotta go hit the shower--been unloading dusty
boxes all day--and then head out for a bite of supper.
[19:36] <Bynw> not that one unfortunately they are even stared out for
me ... but i can change it to something generic if you dont remember
KK
[19:36] <KK> I'll give it a try and get back to you if it doesn't
work.
[19:36] <Bynw> k
[19:36] <KK> But not tonight.  Scott is making hungry noises.
[19:37] <Bynw> shoot me an email and i'll get it fixed up
[19:37] <RainbowDragon> Will we see you next week?
[19:37] <KK> Great chatting with both of you.  I'll certainly intend
to make it next week--and will let someone know if I can't.
[19:37] * RainbowDragon gives KK a big welcome back hug *
[19:38] * KK steps onto her Portal, waves goodnight, and disappears in
a shower of green sparkles.
[19:38] * Bynw joins in the group hug
[19:38] <KK> Huggles to all!  Nighters.
[19:38] * KK (Quit: )
[19:38] * KK has left IRC
