You might have read about what happened last night.

I am OK.  Where I am, if I got flooded we'd have to start building an arc.  Yet places not too far from me are affected.

I don't know if MSANA has received an appeal for help from WV yet, but: http://msana.com/msappeals.asp  (As of this writing, it isn't showing one, but the day is young.)  I'd advise against donating to the Red Cross, as they have reputation for diverting funds given for a particular disaster (i.e., if you give money to them for "Relief in Such-and-Such A Place" they might just send it to another need they judge as being 'more immediate.)

The weather just gets weirder and weirder.

Holding up the affected people.
"If having a soul means being able to feel love, loyalty, and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans."

James Herriot (James Alfred "Alfie" Wight), when a human client asked him if animals have souls.  (I don't remember in which book the story originally appeared.)

So glad you're not directly affected, and I'll pray for those who are.
"In necessariis unitas, in non-necessariis libertas, in utrisque caritas."

--WARNING!!!--
I have a vocabulary in excess of 75,000 words, and I'm not afraid to use it!

Up here we have a fire ban in place due to the very dry conditions (no Canada Day fireworks this year).  Weird weather indeed.

My thoughts for those who are affected by the floods.
From ghoulies and ghosties and long-leggity beasties and things that go bump in the night...good Lord deliver us!
