I feel that the spell he may have been woring on would have a veriation of the one Camber applyed to himself.
But I think that he may have tried to bypass the whole death part of it and tried to go phyisicaly into the nether realm,
which I don't think is posible.

Elkhound

That's as good a theory as any.

We do not know what the spell was, however, in Childe Morgan we learn that Princess Camille Furstana, later to become Mother Serafina of Saint Sasile, had been present during Lewys Ap Norfal's attempt in Coroth. Years later, she was training the crown prince of Torenth and his 2nd brother the same spell. Michon of the CC tried to warn them off, none-the-less, their attempt at the spell lead again to disaster.  Prince Nimur Furstan was killed and Prince Torval Furstan went mad from what he had witnessed. Bringing the youngest Prince Wencit that much closer to the throne. I would not recommend you trying that spell at home. ;)

Agreed!  Wencit would never have come to power if it weren't for her meddling in things far above her.

The entire Festil family seems to be a nest of vipers.  Only a couple of them seem to be anywhere near decent human beings.  Put them in a cage with the Lannisters and let them duke it out.

Some Festils - and even some Furstans - are decent, honourable people. These tend not to be the ones trying to add Gwynedd to their empire though, so they don't get as many appearances in the books.

And KKB gives us the beginnings of an insight into the more sympathetic side of Morag.

Too little, too late.

Princess Camille/Mother Serafina, would be arrogant enough to try the same tactics as lywis, in thiking to bypass the death stage to enter the nether realm.  Remember that is, "the Forbidin spell."  I could see where it would have made the younger brother Mad, a person isn't suppose to look upon the face of the Angels in coporal form, and be alowed to tell.  We see even Evaine have an out of body experance when she speaks to Uriel abut her father.

Ummmm......what about Liam-Lajos and Matyas?

You can have a sound mind in a healthy body--Or you can be a nanonovelist!

And there is Nikola, who gave his live to save his brother Arkady (even though they were attacking Gwynedd at the time.)

I did say they were exceptions.

The Imp is turning out to be a decent person; of course he may not truly be a Lannister/
