Just read on my news feed of storms across the US - hoping that all is well with you on your side of the pond
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
(Psalm 46 v1)

It's only the middle of November, and I'm already sick of snow.  It may be a long winter.  :(
From ghoulies and ghosties and long-leggity beasties and things that go bump in the night...good Lord deliver us!

Here in Florida it's not too bad.

Monday, we were under tornado warning and apparently there was a waterspout on the river, and then after that nastiness passed, this cold front rolled in, so it's been unseasonably cool for us, but we don't have it nearly as bad as points north.  I feel bad for the people in upstate New York and the general Great Lakes area, because they are getting absolutely hammered with snow.

Although at least the people up there know what to do with snow.  Down here, a few flurries and the city grinds to a halt, because it so seldom happens here that we are not equipped to deal with it.

Even so, that amount of snow this early in the season is not, to my way of thinking, a good omen for this winter.
"If having a soul means being able to feel love, loyalty, and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans."

James Herriot (James Alfred "Alfie" Wight), when a human client asked him if animals have souls.  (I don't remember in which book the story originally appeared.)
