[18:16] <@Evie> hi kk
[18:17] <KK> Hello, all.
[18:18] <jemler> stunned silence
[18:18] <jemler> how was your week, kk?
[18:18] <Shiral> Unfortunate experiments with the Silencing charm
[18:18] <KK> So, what's everybody up to?
[18:18] <Shiral> Finishing up my latest house--just the roof to go
[18:18] <jemler> Evie is flashingher BIOS.
[18:19] * Aerlys (~ae1fc277@971820.DC5E26.E57A87.522C17) Quit ( Quit: CGI:IRC )
[18:19] <cynicalmedic> Recuperating and bored.
[18:19] * Aerlys (~ae1fc277@971820.DC5E26.E57A87.522C17) has joined #deryni_destinations
[18:19] <jemler> wb aerlys
[18:19] <The_Bee> rehi, Aerlys
[18:19] <Aerlys> Ack! what was THAT?
[18:19] <Shiral> The Custodes tried to kick Aerlys out of chat
[18:19] <jemler> i went to a neighborhood reunion yesterday after dialysis.
[18:19] * Jerusha (Mibbit@OWIRCN-196a1d68.dsl.bell.ca) has joined #deryni_destinations
[18:19] <KK> Pesky Custodes.
[18:20] <The_Bee> Hi Jerusha
[18:20] <Shiral> Hello Jerusha
[18:20] <cynicalmedic> Hi Jerusha
[18:20] <jemler> hi jerusha
[18:20] <Jerusha> Hi everyone *waves*
[18:20] <Shiral> I don't think that's how Javan would describe them, KK =o)
[18:20] <Aerlys> At least they didn't take a torch to my computer
[18:20] <KK> Probably not.
[18:20] <Jerusha> The Custodes are at your computer, Aerlys?
[18:21] <Shiral> Not unless his soul were suddenly possessed by Bertie Wooster
[18:21] <Aerlys> It is running a bit hot laterly...
[18:21] <KK> Oooo, Bertie Wooster!
[18:21] <The_Bee> They probably think it's dark magic.
[18:21] <Aerlys> Well, it is a Mac :)
[18:21] <Shiral> "Oh Jeeves, those PESKY pesky Custodes..."
[18:21] <Shiral> "Right you are, sir."
[18:21] <cynicalmedic> Hugh Laurie was brilliant as Bertie.
[18:21] <KK> Yes he was.
[18:21] <Jerusha> Yes!
[18:22] <Aerlys> Love Hugh Laurie
[18:22] <The_Bee> There was a movie?
[18:22] <Shiral> A TV series, Bee
[18:22] <KK> TV series.
[18:22] <Jerusha> No, a TV series
[18:22] <The_Bee> title?
[18:22] <Shiral> Jeeves and Wooster
[18:22] <KK> Wonderful episoes.
[18:22] <cynicalmedic> It was a Masterpiece Theater series.
[18:22] <KK> episodes
[18:22] <The_Bee> thanks, Shiral.
[18:22] <Jerusha> Marvelous
[18:22] <Shiral> Hugh Laurie pulled off some brilliant physical comedy
[18:22] <KK> The books are also fun.
[18:23] <Jerusha> There are books?
[18:23] <KK> So did Stephen Fry.
[18:23] <Shiral> LOVE Stephen Fry, yes
[18:23] <Shiral> AND Hugh Laurie also
[18:23] <KK> I believe the series was taken from the books.
[18:23] <Aerlys> I stumbled on the Dirk Gently series recently. Did a good job staying close to Adam's character, if not his books
[18:23] <Shiral> Imagine Hugh Laurie as...Cinhil
[18:23] <Jerusha> Who wrote the books?
[18:23] <cynicalmedic> He was also great in "Blackadder", but that isn't to everyone's taste.
[18:23] <The_Bee> by P.G. Wodehouse
[18:23] <jemler> jeeves & wooster 1990-93
[18:23] <Jerusha> Thanks, Bee
[18:24] <Aerlys> Ah yes, good ol' Percy!
[18:24] <The_Bee> Was the series set in the 1930s?
[18:24] <Shiral> Yes
[18:24] <Jerusha> I think so
[18:24] <KK> Some of the Blackadder timeframes were better than others.
[18:24] <Aerlys> I agree
[18:24] <Shiral> 1920's--1920's before WWII
[18:25] <The_Bee> I'll have to see if I can find it.
[18:25] <jemler> i watched The Great Martian War last night.
[18:25] <Shiral> Try the library. Or failing that, Netflix
[18:25] <Aerlys> I liked the Blackadder Elizavethan and WWI series
[18:25] <KK> And the last one where Blackadder went Over the Top was...poignant.
[18:25] <cynicalmedic> One was earlier - Stephen Fry and Rowan Atkinson were rival royal ministers in one timeline, and Hugh played the dimwitted prince.
[18:26] <Aerlys> OOOH! DH just came home with fresh lumpia!
[18:26] <KK> OK, I
[18:26] <Shiral> Favorite Rowan Atkinson moment was in 4 Weddings and funeral as the Priest who muffed up the vows
[18:26] <@Evie> yum!
[18:26] <Jerusha> One lump, or two?
[18:26] <KK> OK, I'll note/  What is lumpia?
[18:26] <The_Bee> YUM!  What's lumpia?
[18:26] <Shiral> A kind of fish
[18:26] <Shiral> I think....
[18:26] <jemler> uh-oh
[18:27] <@Evie> lumpia = Filipino egg rolls
[18:27] <Jerusha> I hope
[18:27] <KK> Ah.
[18:27] <Shiral> Oh... Well I was wrong, then =o)
[18:27] <Aerlys> And they are scrummy!
[18:27] <@Evie> If it were a kind of fish, I wouldn't say Yum
[18:27] <@Evie> Since I loathe fish
[18:27] <The_Bee> That's right--Evie doesn't like fish.
[18:27] <jemler> i didn't know Filipinos laid eggs
[18:27] * jemler ducks
[18:27] <Shiral> That would follow, yes, Evie
[18:27] <Aerlys> That's why she flings them
[18:27] <@Evie> far far away
[18:28] <Jerusha> I like fish, so aim this way....
[18:28] <The_Bee> We do.
[18:28] <Jerusha> oops
[18:28] <Aerlys> I didn't like fish till I moved to Seattle. Before that, all I ever encountered was midwestern fried fish.
[18:29] <Aerlys> too greasy
[18:30] <Shiral> Fish really needs to be fresh for best results
[18:30] <Aerlys> back to Rowan Atkinson...am I the only one who doesn't like Mr. Bean? RW is so great as delivering his lines that I miss his wit]
[18:30] <The_Bee> easier to get fresh fish near the ocean
[18:30] <KK> I don't care for Mr. Bean.
[18:30] <Shiral> I never cared for Mr. Bean either, Aerlys
[18:30] <Shiral> But loved that scene in 4 weddings
[18:30] <cynicalmedic> I like his stand-up, too.
[18:31] <KK> Yes!
[18:31] <Aerlys> LOL!
[18:31] <Shiral> In the name of the Holy Goat."
[18:31] <KK> $ weddings was simply a great film.  As is Love Actually.
[18:32] <jemler> "We are gathered here to hog-tie this poor idiot to this coniving wench"
[18:32] <Aerlys> Great actors all around
[18:32] <Shiral> He was great as that sales clerk, and Poor Alan Rickman was trying to hurry him along...
[18:33] <cynicalmedic> I think Alan Rickman is wonderful, too. :)
[18:33] <@Evie> Me three
[18:33] <Shiral> Oh yes. He just WAS Snape
[18:33] <The_Bee> Remind me: Who's RW?
[18:33] <jemler> richard widmark?
[18:34] <The_Bee> ty
[18:35] <jemler> i just picked one off the top of my head bee! it could also be ron white.
[18:35] <cynicalmedic> I think Rowan Atkinson - the actor that played Mr. Bean, and the title character in Blackadder. We were talking about his comedy with Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry.
[18:35] <Aerlys> I meant RA, Bee
[18:35] <The_Bee> ah. ok--that explains it
[18:35] <Shiral> I have no idea who RA is
[18:36] <The_Bee> Royal Arms?
[18:36] <Aerlys> Sorry, guess I was too excited about the lumpia ;)
[18:36] <The_Bee> s'okay
[18:36] <Jerusha> All is forgiven
[18:36] <Aerlys> Gosh, you're a swell bunch
[18:37] <@Evie> Rowan Atkinson, Shiral
[18:37] <Jerusha> You are the lady with all the clout. :D
[18:37] <Shiral> Oh D'Oh
[18:37] <Shiral> of Course.  That Lumpia must have clogged my brain
[18:37] <The_Bee> KK, have you started work on the new book?
[18:37] <Aerlys> LOL! Especially after a month of travelling with 8 other people
[18:38] <Shiral> Aerlys, I think I would have ended up hitch hiking home. =o)
[18:38] <Jerusha> Yes, need to know more of Torenth
[18:38] <Aerlys> I dunno, after being in Kansas for a week, I just wanted to get home FAST
[18:38] <Shiral> I want to know more about Nygel and Malcolm Haldane myself
[18:39] <Jerusha> Click your heels three times
[18:39] <KK> Not hardly, Bee.  I'm waiting for the page proofs to arrive, which should be in the next week or two..
[18:39] <Shiral> That's why I say I would have hitch hiked.=o)
[18:39] <Shiral> Or tried to thumb a lift with a tornado
[18:39] <Jerusha> The last step before publishing, KK?
[18:39] <KK> Yep.
[18:39] <KK> Last for me, anyway.
[18:39] <The_Bee> I meant theKillingford book, KK
[18:39] <KK> No.
[18:40] <Shiral> We just have to be patient and wait for Killingford.
[18:40] <Jerusha> SO looking forward to TK
[18:40] <The_Bee> What amuses an author when she's not authoring?
[18:40] <Jerusha> TKD, I meant
[18:40] <KK> I have to get my cataracts done and new glasses sorted out.  Won't even try to begin the new book until that's done.
[18:40] <Shiral> Good eyesight would be a help for authors
[18:41] <Jerusha> We will just have to be patient
[18:41] <The_Bee> You're vision will improve greatly.  I speak from experience.
[18:41] <KK> Meanwhile, I'm trying to catch up on all the things I let slide while I was pushing to finish TKD.
[18:41] <Jerusha> Anything major?
[18:41] <KK> And there's Dragoncon at the end of the month....
[18:41] <Jerusha> I would love to be a fly on the wall
[18:42] <Jerusha> at Dragoncon
[18:42] <jemler> until someone comes in with a flyswatter
[18:42] * Jerusha scowls at Jemler
[18:43] <Shiral> Get Evie to wear a wire? =o)
[18:43] <Jerusha> Yes!
[18:43] <Aerlys> EvieCam!
[18:43] <Shiral> Rig the Littles with listening devices?
[18:43] <cynicalmedic> Give Duncan a GoPro.
[18:43] <jemler> she could hide it under the trench coat
[18:43] <Aerlys> ot the wig
[18:44] <KK> Evie, I found an inexpensive soldier at the local GOodwill--$.95--and bought him.  He may become a Michaeline companion for Joram.  Lots of good joints, but molded-on underwear and a creepy gauntlet-thingie on his left forearm that I can turn into a proper gauntlet, I think.  And a tattoo on his right arm that should disappear with acetone.
[18:44] <Jerusha> That Deryni spell that allows you to remember everything
[18:44] <Shiral> Under the skull cap
[18:46] <The_Bee> Underwear doen's show under a robe.
[18:46] <KK> That's right.  Clothing covers a multitude of ick.
[18:46] <jemler> hence the name.
[18:46] <Aerlys> Evie needs to post aher Frankenstein Wish List so we all play Igor and help her find proper bodies and heads
[18:47] <@Evie> KK, are you ready for DragonCon?
[18:47] <Jerusha> I can see the next time I go shopping ..."hello, I'm looking for body parts."
[18:47] <@Evie> Is the gauntlet thing silver, and around his wrist or slightly higher, like a vambrace?
[18:47] <Aerlys> I see things, but am never quite sure if they will do. Though I did pick something up for Arilan for the next time he goes on a bender. :)
[18:47] <@Evie> LOL Aerlys
[18:48] <Jerusha> Oh my!
[18:48] <Shiral> A bender might really get Arilan to loosen up a little.
[18:48] <KK> Ready as I need to me, 3 weeks out.  They sent me a tentative schedule a couple of days ago, and I need to ask for An Hour with Katherine Kurtz, with Reading.
[18:48] <KK> need to be
[18:48] <@Evie> Yes!  What scene will you read?
[18:49] <cynicalmedic>  I look at all the flea markets I go to, but my activity is just a little limited at the moment. My biggest task is to re-establish a "to be read" pile.
[18:49] <Shiral> Now we ALL want to be in on EvieCam
[18:49] <Jerusha> Ohyes!
[18:49] <Shiral> =o)
[18:49] <KK> I think, the scene where Alaric gets forced to go to Jorian's execution.
[18:50] <jemler> sacerdos in aeternum
[18:50] <Jerusha> Is he still not the one who yells "you are a priest forever"?
[18:50] <KK> He is not the one.
[18:50] <jemler> ooh
[18:51] <Shiral> Which opens up the interesting question of who DID
[18:51] <The_Bee> I kind of like the idea of a nameless person findingthe courage to speak up.
[18:51] <Jerusha> Drat (though I bow to the author's judgement)
[18:52] <Shiral> Simply being there would be dangerous enough for Alaric--drawing attention to himself that way might well have been fatal
[18:52] <KK> There are numerous possibilities.
[18:52] <@Evie> Well, we wouldn't have the Deryni Rising trilogy if Alaric gets killed before he has a chance to turn 14. :D
[18:52] <@Evie> much less 29
[18:52] <KK> Yeah, I don't think Alaric would have dared, at this stage in his life.
[18:52] <Shiral> This is true.
[18:52] <Shiral> He wanted to get back to Rhemuth alive
[18:53] <Jerusha> Though I can see the seriousness of challenging the status quo being driven home in a meaningful way
[18:54] <Shiral> Does Brion plant an idea in someone's head that Alaric had BETTER come home safe, if they don't want to make the King Angry
[18:54] <Jerusha> One that makes his resolve more firm
[18:54] <Jerusha> I would think so, Shiral
[18:54] <KK> I think Brion makes that clear.
[18:55] <Shiral> I should hope so. Although there would be quite a lot of opportunities for "Accidents" to befall Alaric on the way.
[18:56] <@Evie> KK, which of the littles would you like to see this year (besides your own), since I won't have enough room to bring them all?
[18:57] * DR_afk is now known as DesertRose
[18:57] <~DesertRose> Hello all.  Taking a break from dishes.
[18:57] <@Evie> LOL!  And a certain blond man just arched an eyebrow in my head and said, "Well, of course you're going to bring ME to see KK!"
[18:57] <The_Bee> rehi, Dr.  How was dinner?
[18:57] <Jerusha> Of course, Evie!
[18:58] <~DesertRose> Not ready yet.  Still doing dishes so I can cook, and I'm starting to think I'll grab something out tonight and cook tomorrow because my chicken isn't thawed.
[18:58] <Shiral> Hi DR
[18:58] <Jerusha> wb, DR
[18:58] <~DesertRose> ty
[18:59] <Aerlys> The three itings we can't escape: death, taxes and dishes
[18:59] <Shiral> Very discouraging to realize one's chicken is still frozen
[18:59] <Aerlys> tings
[18:59] <~DesertRose> It's mostly thawed but not quite.
[18:59] <Aerlys> things
[18:59] <KK> What are you thawing?
[18:59] <~DesertRose> I was going to make chicken noodle soup.
[18:59] <Jerusha> Four things, Aerlys - laundry
[18:59] <Shiral> Give it a cold water bath, DR
[18:59] <Aerlys> frozen raw chicken is rather unappetizing
[19:00] <~DesertRose> Well, it's getting late my time and I have to work in the morning and I am just not feeling it right now.  :)
[19:00] <KK> That's easy.  Does your microwave have a thaw setting?
[19:00] <Aerlys> Ah yes, laundry. I'm trying to repress that memory
[19:00] <Jerusha> The sheets that haunt....
[19:00] <jemler> doctors tomorrow
[19:00] <~DesertRose> Yes, true, but I don't really feel like spending a couple of hours cooking tonight once it's thawed.  :)
[19:00] <KK> And frozen or half-frozen chicken is much easier to cut into bits.
[19:00] <The_Bee> I send my laundry out.  A perk of oldage here in boston.
[19:01] <Jerusha> There is always take out pizza, DR
[19:01] <cynicalmedic> I have my son's bulletproof vest cover soaking now to get the funk out.
[19:01] * Aerlys muses that it's take a dump truck to send out her laundry
[19:01] <Jerusha> Funk?
[19:01] <KK> Oxiclean is great for that, CM.
[19:01] <~DesertRose> Yeah.  :)
[19:01] <Aerlys> funk on a bulletproof vest sounds rather ominous
[19:02] <Shiral> I have a laundress. The problem is, she looks a lot like me.
[19:02] <cynicalmedic> Yes - just sweat. Even though Stephen wears it over Under Armor, it still gets sweaty.
[19:02] <~DesertRose> LOL
[19:02] <KK> Especially where you are.
[19:02] <Jerusha> I would think it would be rather warm to wear
[19:03] <jemler> until next week folks
[19:03] <KK> Yep, modern equivalent of wearing armor.  Padded undertunics also get funky.
[19:03] <Shiral> Bye, Jemler
[19:03] <Aerlys> Good night, jemler
[19:03] <~DesertRose> See you, jemler.
[19:03] <Jerusha> Night, Jemler
[19:03] <KK> Nighters, Jemler.
[19:03] <The_Bee> bye, Jemler.  Hope the doctor's visit brings good news.
[19:03] <jemler> we'll see
[19:03] <Shiral> Imagine having to do a castle's worth of laundry without a washing machine or dryer
[19:03] <cynicalmedic> Everything he wears - vest, utility belt - weighs forty pounds
[19:04] * jemler (~jemler@OWIRCN-9733da4b.oh.comcast.net) Quit ( Quit: )
[19:04] <cynicalmedic> Night Jemler.
[19:04] <The_Bee> is he a soldier or a police officer?
[19:04] <cynicalmedic> A state trooper.
[19:04] <The_Bee> ah.
[19:05] <cynicalmedic> He brought us dinner tonight, and we had a good visit. He also played his latest composition for us.
[19:05] <Jerusha> He is also a musician?
[19:05] <The_Bee> He's a musician too?  Good for him1
[19:05] <@Evie> cool!
[19:06] <KK> Neat.  And may he be safe!
[19:06] <cynicalmedic> A pianist. He just finished his masters in music education.
[19:06] <Jerusha> Wow.  Very nice
[19:06] <The_Bee> which school?
[19:06] <Aerlys> Very diverse!
[19:07] <cynicalmedic> He went to Peabody - which is part of Hopkins.
[19:07] <cynicalmedic> He wants to have something to fall back on in case his plans for world domination fail. :)
[19:07] <The_Bee> LOL!
[19:07] <@Evie> lol
[19:08] <Jerusha> The pianist and the brain?
[19:08] <cynicalmedic> Yes - he and my nephew Rich (also a trooper) want to run the whole force someday.
[19:08] <~DesertRose> LOL
[19:09] <Jerusha> Never aim small
[19:09] <~DesertRose> Delayed LOL, I was on the phone for a minute. :P
[19:10] <Shiral> I hope he'll make music education mandatory when he takes over the world. =o)
[19:11] <The_Bee> If DA-Zine ever comes out again, my latest poem is set to music.
[19:11] <cynicalmedic> He teaches piano now, and loves to do it.
[19:12] <Shiral> If he wears his uniform while teaching, does he get better results with practicing? =o)
[19:12] <Jerusha> Look forward to it, Bee
[19:12] <cynicalmedic> Mostly small boys, who think it is cool to learn from a police officer.
[19:12] <Jerusha> Nothing wrong with a little bit of incentive
[19:13] <Shiral> However he makes it work, it's cool =o)
[19:14] <cynicalmedic> I have to run -well, hop - it's time to get my foot rebandaged and take my insulin. Have a good week, all.
[19:14] <Shiral> Bye, CM HOpe you're well on the way to recovery
[19:14] <The_Bee> nighters, CM. Glad you came
[19:15] <Jerusha> Night, CM - hope all is well
[19:15] <KK> Night, CM, and be well.
[19:15] * cynicalmedic (Mibbit@OWIRCN-43eb66e1.md.comcast.net) has left #deryni_destinations
[19:15] <Shiral> Another issue of DAtZ would be nice
[19:16] <Jerusha> Yes!
[19:16] <The_Bee> Has anyone been in touch with Julianne?
[19:17] <@Evie> I tried emailing her a while back re: the DA zine, but didn't get a reply
[19:17] <Shiral> She's on Facebook
[19:18] <The_Bee> Stuff going on in her life?
[19:19] <Shiral> Don't know. But with school starting again later this month, don't know if she'll have the time to put together an issue
[19:20] <The_Bee> A while back, I thought a newissue might be in the works.
[19:21] <The_Bee> I sent my contribution in over a year ago, IIRC.
[19:22] <KK> brb  phone call
[19:22] <~DesertRose> Okay, going out to supper. I'll post chat when I get back unless someone beats me.
[19:23] <~DesertRose> :)
[19:23] <Shiral> Bye DR
[19:23] <Jerusha> Enjoy, DR!
[19:23] <@Evie> bye
[19:23] <The_Bee> enjoy your meal, Dr
[19:23] <Aerlys> ah, bon appetit!
[19:24] <Shiral> Francesca has just shown up demanding some ear scritching
[19:24] <Shiral> She says hello with a purr
[19:24] <The_Bee> HI, Francesca!
[19:24] <Jerusha> Well deserved, I'm sure
[19:24] <Shiral> Oh yes
[19:24] <Shiral> She's a sweetheart
[19:24] <Aerlys> Mini Mister just woke up and is on my lap...but he doesn't purr
[19:24] <KK> I'm back.  It was UCLA alums wanting money.  Argh!
[19:25] <Aerlys> I keep getting political robo-calls
[19:25] <Shiral> Not even a fun call from a long lost friend. =o(
[19:25] <KK> Check again with Julianne, while she's still off for the summer.  She should at least be able to give you an idea what the schedule is.
[19:26] <KK> And Evie, I need to tap you for instructions on making medieval underwear for my new guy, who doesn't yet have a persona.
[19:26] <@Evie> Sure!
[19:26] <Shiral> I just don't get why we now start school in August. If anybody had tried to make me go back to school before Labor Day, it would have involved a lot of screaming and kicking on my part
[19:26] <Jerusha> Or underwear :)
[19:27] <Aerlys> We always started school in August, but maybe that was to anticipate snow days.
[19:27] <@Evie> I may not be answering email promptly this week, as we just moved to a new office with all new computers that haven't been configured yet, but when they finally have things up, running, and stable enough for me to have some personal email time, I can sketch you a rough outline of my braies pattern
[19:27] <The_Bee> You went to school in your underwear?
[19:27] <KK> I predict that summer vacations as such will soon be a thing of the past.  We no longer need the kids at home to help with the harvest.
[19:27] <Shiral> Francesca sends you her purrs, KK
[19:27] <KK> Didn't we all go to school in our underwear?!
[19:28] <Shiral> Aaannnd a few OTHER things as well, KK
[19:28] <Jerusha> So long as it was not only underwear
[19:28] <The_Bee> not ONLY underwear, I hope!
[19:28] <KK> Well, yes, other things, too.
[19:28] <Shiral> The dreaded end of summer shopping trips for new school clothes..
[19:28] <KK> Evie, I'll also look at the photos of the underwear for Duncan.
[19:28] <Jerusha> Please give Francesca a scritch on my behalf, Shiral
[19:29] <The_Bee> and Dmitri too
[19:29] <Shiral> She's in a state of bliss right now, Jerusha
[19:29] <Aerlys> I hope they dont go to year-round school. I'd go just as crazy as the kids.
[19:29] <Jerusha> Oh good
[19:29] <Shiral> Dmitri is somewhere else at the moment
[19:29] <The_Bee> maybe several shorter vacation throughout the year.
[19:30] <Jerusha> Year round school would be awful
[19:30] <KK> I think kids would retain more info, if they had more shorter vacations.
[19:30] <Aerlys> Nice thing about school uniforms is that I can pretty much pass the clothes down to the next one, and but what is worn out online
[19:30] <KK> It would also make things easier for families to schedule vacations.
[19:31] <Shiral> Probably. Although when I WAS a school kid, the thought of year-round school would have made me think the person proposing it was the Enemy of Chlidren Everywhere.
[19:31] <@Evie> I tend to draft on the body, KK, so I just measured how wide the fabric would have to be for one leg if I folded it in half along the side of the leg and the edges came to the center front and back (plus seam allowance), and then I cut out a shallow curve for the inseam.  I do have a paper pattern somewhere, but it was developed by trial and error from fitting on the body.
[19:31] <KK> Also, several shorter vacations would be closer to real life, once they're finished with formal education.
[19:31] <@Evie> Use a paper towel for pattern creation; it drapes better than regular paper.
[19:32] <KK> Good idea!
[19:33] <KK> And on that note, I think it's probably time to boogie.
[19:33] <Jerusha> Have a good week, KK!
[19:33] <Shiral> Bye, KK
[19:33] <Shiral> Have a good week
[19:33] <KK> See you guys next week, same bat-time, same bat-channel.
[19:34] <The_Bee> nighters, KK.  Thanks for coming and have a good week.
[19:34] <Aerlys> first we had clothes getting funky, and now we're going to boogie!
[19:34] <@Evie> Also, if you need to pin fabric together, those tiny applique pins used for quilting work better than regular sewing pins at small scale
[19:34] <Shiral> Bat Chat An idea who's time has come
[19:34] <Aerlys> good noght, KK
[19:34] <Shiral> although hanging upside down may make typing difficult
[19:34] <KK> Also a good idea, Evie.
[19:34] <Jerusha> In my case, no one would know the difference :D
[19:35] <KK> Ta-ta for now.
[19:35] <Shiral> Bye, KK
[19:35] <Jerusha> Night, KK
[19:35] * KK steps onto her Portal, waves goodnight, and disappears in a shower of green sparkles.
[19:35] <@Evie> good night!
[19:35] <The_Bee> bye, KK
[19:35] <KK> Nighters!
